Gonzo ruled. He provided lots of fun non sequitors, though his chicken obsession was always a bit different.

I felt bad for Kermit having to put up with all those crazies and you could tell he really did care, but it was giving him an ulcer.

I love most of the non-Sesame Street Muppets. Gotta go with the classics, though: Kermit, Rowlf, Fozzie, Gonzo and Piggy.

I still remember Rowlf as a regular on The Jimmy Dean Show back in the 1960's.

Beaker, hands down. I would have voted for Beaker five times if I could have. Beaker is the ultimate in muppetry. All others are pretenders to the throne.

I've got a lot in common with Statler and Waldorf. Those two, Oscar the Grouch and I have a special club.

Still no love for Beauregard, Camilla, Janice, and Lew Zealand, although I see Link Hogthrob finally got a vote. I must say I'm surprised Janice hasn't gotten any votes at all.

Link Hogthrob is great as the Pigs in Space captain, but he's not that appealing apart from that segment.

Wow, this poll has really surprised me. I expected Kermit to run away with this, but instead Beaker had the lead for awhile before losing it to The Swedish Chef and Statler and Waldorf (and then later Kermit and Animal). And now where are we? A tie between Animal and Statler and Waldorf. Not that I don't mind, I love all three of them. I'm just not happy that Fozzie is tied with Gonzo and sorely disappointed by the lack of votes for Sam and Sweetums.
