Personally, i love the excelsior class, i think its a brilliant design.

You forgot one. You put it with the Enterprise-A but the refit was not the A. So I go with Refit, not bloody A B C or D.

NX-01. It's small, cramped, clunky, an excellent choice for the first of Earth's starships. And I love how proud the crew was of their "tough little warp 5 ship."

Putting the tragic fate of the Enterprise-C aside; I've always liked the Ambassador class star-ships. There is something so wonderful about their design. They look more functional and powerful than the Excelsior class star-ships, but not as overwhelming and ungainly as the Galaxy class star-ships. They are the perfect balance of form and function.

The original TOS Enterprise, of course!! Matt Jeffries' design is nothing short of a stroke of genius; every perfectly-proportioned curve, slant, and plane are positioned just so. You can look at that beauty from ANY angle and it looks like it's posing for the camera; the size ratio of saucer-to-nacelle is perfect...damn, just looking at that ship is awesome. Despite being artistic and graceful in appearence, it also somehow looks tough, as though it's tensed and about to strike.

Adding stuff to the surface of it is one thing, that just adds details. But to change any aspect of the ship's proportioning or shape is just foolish! You can't improve that which is already perfect, and if it ain't broke...don't fix it.

I would consider the TOS Enterprise to be the single Best Spaceship Design of All Time. Throughout history there has never been another that comes close to being as awesome as Kirk's TV Enterprise!

Enterprise D for me, not that the original doesn't have its merits but I just think it looks more solid. Plus, it reminds me of my old alarm clock

Seems pretty much tied between the TOS E, the Refit E, and Picard's ship. Interesting!
