See what I mean, M'sharak and Pktrekgirl and Mr.MIssle? Alboborg sees what I am trying to say...and wow, I can't wait for a modern version of an Orion slave girl...at least there are SOME of us on this board who haven't become brainwashed by the PC crowd...

You really haven't been paying very close attention, if you think I'm among the PC-brainwashed.

Orion slave girls are just fine; if they have one or more in movie for anything even approaching a plausible reason, I'll be more than happy to watch. What I'm not at all interested in seeing is Star Trek Goes to Porky's, which is a lot closer to what you're proposing here than anything I expect the actual movie to turn out to be. There simply isn't such a shortage of vaguely-smutty sophomoric movies out there that we need to inject that mindset (which term I use very loosely here) into Trek movies, too.

And as far as "Mr. MIssile" goes ... perhaps it would be a good idea for you to stick to calling people by their screennames, 'K, Robert?

I hate that ugly color of green they used in that Enterprise episodes. The green that was used for the one in "The Cage" was much better. There was another TOS episode with an Orion that had my favorite shade of green, but I can't think of the title now.

Not my problem. I'm a big fan of "Enterprise" as well as TNG and TOS.

What I don't want is for the Trek XI writers to castrate him in the interest of "displaying some manners".

There's not much chance of that, particularly given that contemporary commercial films tend toward nothing of the kind. Demonstrating that Kirk likes the ladies, however, ala ol' Tony Stark in the current "Iron Man" movie, is a different consideration than providing stroke material to middle-aged guys under the pretext of "attracting hip young viewers."

Listen, this film is going to be PG-13 at most. There are limits to the titillation that can be offered. That said, I'd be unsurprised. Wasn't that the point of T'Pol and Seven's costumes?
