NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

If the coaching staff gives you something to work on, shouldn't you be working with the coaches on it? I have a feeling this can go all kinds of wrong.

No one did that better than Brady, and Mendoza wants to pick his brain about how to lay that foundation early in his career. From there, it seems clear Mendoza won't be shy in trying to learn as much on the field and in the film room as he can from Brady, noting the seven-time Super Bowl champion and current Raiders owner will be his first call when the Raiders' staff gives him things to improve on.

Chiefs cut RT Jawaan Taylor to free up $20 million in cap space.

Lions trade RB David Montgomery to the Texans.

Texans trade RT Tytus Howard to the Browns.

Rumor is the Cardinals have interest in Jimmy Garoppolo as a bridge QB. Why not just stick with Jacoby Brissett?

Besides sending off a RT the Texans gave another T/C Juice Scruggs to the Lions for Montgomery (and a 5th next year and a 7th the year after that). So they got rid of two very mediocre offensive linemen from an oline that was so bad mediocre is good. LOL

Cardinals to cut Kyler Murray.

Colts to put transition tag on Daniel Jones.

Bears center Drew Dalman retires at the age of 27.

Makes sense. Delusions of grandeur and inability to take criticism, definitely not someone you want in the same room as your rookie QB who is going to take his job.

It's been pointed out that Geno Smith owes everything to Pete Carroll, because Carroll made him the starter in Seattle, then traded for him and gave him an extension in Las Vegas. And he's made over $100 million in that time.

I'll say this. Geno didn't need to be flashy or showboat. He just needed to be steady and consistent. Would Geno have played better in his final season under McDonald, had he had the same O Line Darnold did? Who knows.
Pete and John brought in the right quarterback at the right time. Seattle could have gone with a rookie at QB after Russell and who knows where the team would be today.

The Ravens look to have "won" the Maxx Crosby sweepstakes with 2026 & 2027 first round picks going to the Raiders.

I'm kinda glad the Bears didn't go for it as rumored. The guy has been injured too many times in recent years.

After winning Most Valuable Player in the 2026 Super Bowl, Kenneth Walker III has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs for three years $45 million.
