Taurik being played by the same actor who played near-identical Vulcan character Vorik on VOY is simultaneously cool and annoying.

In the novelverse, they were twins.

I think Generations is the only good TNG movie.

The rest are shit. Will probably never watch any of them again and don’t care.

I personally love First Contact, as a decent Sci Fi action thriller ..but its not very "Star Trek".

If I want to watch a Star Trek TNG movie, I would also pick Generations first. Its just a feel good film , even despite Kirk's apparent death. The soundtrack really helps in that regard, the musical score for Generations is just incredible IMO, its now my 2nd favourite Star Trek soundtrack (1st is TWOK). Generations has its flaws but its definitely a solid entry in the franchise.

Insurrection is the most "Star Trek" of the TNG films, but its so...eh. The basic plot is just a re-tread of previous TNG plots. Indigenous people are happy living on planet x, Starfleet admiral wants Picard to convince those people to leave. Ethical dilemma for Picard bla bla bla. We've seen it before. The only real difference is the 'Fountain of youth' idea which adds absolutely nothing of value to the story. Geordie has had his sight offered/teased before but he just wants to stay the way he is. And the Sona or however you spell it are just terrible. They are just plain ugly grey aliens of the week. Their quest for youth is contrived and only exists for sake of the plot. The only cool things about Insurrection were Picards brilliant monologue to the Admiral and baby-face Riker.

I wouldn't even call it the worst Star Trek since enterprise. I wouldn't even call it Star Trek. Galaxy Quest has a better claim, and that isn't Star Trek either.

I prefer my Star Trek without the crude, puerile, juvenile humor and without such things as entire episodes based on the urination rituals a species. Beginning the series with the visual equivalent of a c*mshot was enough to turn me off. And that, of course, was followed almost immediately in the next scene by a spit take. 0-2 on the humor and that was only in the first few minutes.
