How come noone talks about a Voyager reboot?

Drama is a part of Trek. Always has been and always will be going back to Pike. I welcome a variety, covers and reboots. Nothing's lost. The band analogy is poor.
Well, everybody's entitled to their own opinion.

But I have to say that the band analogy is accurate.

It's only accurate in so far that the original songs still exist despite the cover band. Do, a person has the freedom of choice to participate in what they enjoy with no loss to the original.

If a reboot or cover got rid of the original then there's a problem. But, since media continues to exist despite reboots and covers as evidenced throughout human history I fail to see the issue beyond personal preference. Nothing lost.

Understand that I'm not in favor of a "reboot" of VOY (or of any other ST series, not even the somewhat successful quasi-reboot that created the Abramsverse).

On the other hand, sequels are something I can get behind. But I'll note that we already have a VOY sequel, and it's even canonical (as opposed to the "DS9 Relaunch" that mostly exists only within the "First Splinter" of the Novelverse).

We call that sequel Prodigy.

Despite being a bit too cartoonish for my taste, I can actually live with PRO as long as they don't go into character destruction, like killing off main characters or turn them into uninteresting nobodys, like showing up Janeway as a recluse in some Irish castle or as owner of an ostrich farm.

However, I would prefer more of the Voyager relaunch books, DS9 relaunch books and TNG relanch books, of course without character destruction.

Unfortunately, the book company and its authors seem determined to wipe out everything from those series and destroy as many of those characters as possible and then focus on books built on the canon from horrible series like PIC and DSC.

In other words, doors closed to future reading for me.
