I call him Squidward.!

That was... Boring. Yes it moved the plot along but I base my interest on if/how long i'm on my phone during the episode. Phone never left my hand. Ugh.
Nice to se Kursh have a plan, even found it hilarious after he cought slightly.. no.. go this way.. hurry up.
I don't think Nibs is dead, they hinted at a reformatting with Tootles but there was nothing left of him.
And I think the Older lady is a good eye replacement candidate.

Surprised there were headstones, thought they had actual funerals for the kids for the repsective parents. Why would there be some random graves ??

Was hoping that this being the next to last that it would be more upbeat and actiony.. nope.. owell.

Collect some alien species and bring them to Earth for stuy, what can go wrong?

Enact some corporate espionage and sabotage to steal those species, what can go wrong?

Put terminally ill children into superhuman level synthetic bodies to see if you can make humans practically immortal, what can go wrong?

Build a secure lab facility that is anything but secure, what can go wrong?

I love the Alien franchise so much, it's honest to god "just" a sci fi horror version of the 10 Little xyz ( looking for the english translation of it from german i came across some really racist versions of it, don't want to run the risk of being connected to racism again here ;) ) childrens nursery rhyme as the Xenomorph ( who now has buddies to help out in this show) starts reducing numbers. It got a bit stale as the franchise went on but this show breathed back life into it while not completely changing the formula.

As with the Maginot episode and the contaminated waterbottle we know what will happen, it is tense watching it unfold and what happened to Arthur was the same. I knew what was about to happen but it it somehow never made it not horrible or not tense.

And kudos for the writers to come up with an alien that's maybe even more terrifying than the Xenomorph. who's just a good old slaughtering monster. Eyeball alien just upped the ante by showing actual human level intelligence and that idiot Cavalier will now give it a human body so they can communicate - my god.

All the while everything spirals out of control at an ever increasing pace, i wonder what the endgame is for this season but given what's happening i think eyeball alien will escape into the human population to start its own plans, Xenomorphs might overrun the island and everything goes to shit. I am just waiting to see how well they will tie in everything with the original Alien movie.

This show is just awesome.

I was thinking "what's so racist about it" but then I went to the wikipedia page and HOLY CRAP.

You might be setting yourself up for disappointment.

Oh yeah - not touching THAT with a ten foot pole here

Let's see, i think it may be divisive with whatever they come up with but i'm along for the ride. We'll know in 2 weeks.

That's the thing: it isn't keeping within continuity of the movies.
If they aren't then they should make that clear and the Xenomorph should not be limited to the island.

That's in theaters?
The theater near me shows a different classic film every 2 weeks.

That's a fairly accurate way to measure it. They should start judging ratings by phone usage during an episode.

wonder what the endgame is for this season but given what's happening i think eyeball alien
I imagine all the toys will be put back in the box . A message will be sent to the Nostromo to divert course and there will be a plot thread left dangling for season 2.

Jaegermeister ;)

Jaegermeister ;)

Yeah well, that's a german song and variation of the children rhyme ( and i just recently heard it on the radio after years and still knew the lyrics  )

That would be kinda anticlimactic, i hope they have something more interesting planned. Something to the tune of the last scene of Silence of the Lambs when Eye Ball Alien hidden inside a human calls Cavalier before it vanishes into a human crowd ;)

A fantastic episode, with things really getting interesting now that everybody's plotting and scheming is coming to fruition.
For a few minutes, I was starting to wonder if maybe Kirsh was secretly working for Weyland-Yutani, but the end pretty much ruled that out.
And I apparently misunderstood a name again, I had thought Hermit was some kind of nickname or codename that Joe used in the military, I didn't realize that was him and Marcy's last name.
You really have to feel sorry for poor Nibs, that poor girl is just a mess.
And then there were four. Rest in peace, Nibs. At least she went down with a fight (bye-bye, jaw!).

Kirsh was letting Slightly help Morrow in order to lure Morrow in...but why didn't he tell Kavalier about that silent operation? I think Kirsh still has his own agenda and he merely plays along with Kavalier as long as their goals align.
Yeah, I'm still not entirely sure what he's up to. We now know he was letting Slightly talk with Morrow to lure him to Neverland, but that leaves the question of why, and why he hasn't involved Kavalier.
Kavalier now has this "brilliant" idea of allowing the eye octopus take over a mind and I'm curious to know who he thinks is the perfect candidate for such an "opportunity." I can't wait to see that idea blow up in his face.
My first thought was Joe, since he really doesn't seem to like him, and he's not really a part of any of his experiments or anything.
That whole scene was pretty much proved once and for all that he is definitely full on evil.
Poor Marcie. She has full control of a xenomorph but she has completely lost the trust of her beloved brother. The graveyard didn't help any.
Yeah, I don't see things going well with her next week. I'm almost starting to wonder if they're setting her up to be the main villain by the end of the show, with her getting and more and more out of control with her Xenomorph as her weapon.
Yup, I liked that revelation, too, and how the show didn't outright explain the implications of that revelation. Simply a confirmation of what we expected.
I didn't really see it as that definitive, it could have been that they emptied their minds into the synth bodies and then left them to die.
Also, I like the nickname eye-topus. That's less clunky than eye octopus that I've been using this whole time.
The official name for it is The Eye, that's what they call the Funko Pop! with it in the sheep, and I've seen people from the show call it that in some interviews.
The brother was right to do that at the end. She’d gone cuckoo. Hopefully Marcy see’s reason soon.
I don't know if I'd say that, there was armed soldier threatening her, yeah it was a bit overkill, but I wouldn't say it was totally unjustified.

And I apparently misunderstood a name again, I had thought Hermit was some kind of nickname or codename that Joe used in the military, I didn't realize that was him and Marcy's last name.
I don't blame you. What you thought made more sense. Earlier in the series, as a nation turned its lonely eyes to him, he said his name was Joe DiMaggio.

I’ve seen multiple reactions expecting Marcie to become the villain, but I don’t think she is, even if she does in fact end up turning more fully against Prodigy and/or WY. She is turning away from humanity, but she’s pretty justified. I wouldn’t even call the xenomorph a “villain”, monstrous though it is. (Nor Nibs; what she did to Jaw-Losing Guy was horrible, but she’s a mentally unstable child and he was being a dick — it’s not that she was right to do that, but something like that was going to happen. Likewise, I’m not saying Marcie is “good” either.)

The villains here are Kavalier and his guy, Yutani, Morrow at least for now, probably Kirsh. (And Joe Hermit and basically Arthur RIP are the only “good” people; everybody else is just stuck in their circumstances.)

On the subject of Ten Little... worth noting that the Agatha Christie novel which initially used the worst version of this is now commonly referred to And then there were none. Works much better than using the N or I words!

I thought that was a fantastic episode. What happened to Arthur was horrible, even though I knew what was coming it shocked me.

The graves was a wakeup call for Wendy and Nibs, but it still doesn't prove that the lost boys are mere copies, in fact I think I'd be surprised if the show ever comes down on one side of the other. It's an existential question that probably can't ever be decided definitively.

I think Nibs is probably dead. I thought it was a lovely touch that as she lay their dying you could see Mr Strawberry floating in the water behind her :(

In terms of who's getting the Eye ;) my money's on Dame Sylvia.

So Kirsh was luring Morrow in, but clearly still has his own agenda.

When Joe picked up one of the rifles my first thought was "yeah cos it did that guy loads of good didn't it"

And we still don't know what the plant alien does!!!

One question. Where'd they get the raft?
