Well, that worked out. I'm not unhappy to see Zach go. That little noir mashup of Sam Spade and Humpty Dumpty was cute.
Information about The Amazing Race: It's going to be on Thursdays, starting next month... and the racers are past Big Brother houseguests and a family member??? There are some of them I won't know because I either didn't watch their season or they were so memorable that I forgot their existence about 5 minutes after they were evicted.
Zach was my week one peak to win. I'm surprised he went this week, he didn't seem like the #1 player but he seemed protected.
I didn't realize AR was going to Thursdays, that sucks, I got kinda used to my 3 hour Survivor/AR block. I remember a majority of the players but a few of them are like the 8th place person and I don't remember them. It feels like Kyland/Taylor and Tucker/Eric are the favorites.
I'm not rooting for Rachel but I was glad she won HoH because she nominated people who hadn't been nominated before and potentially forces people to show their cards.
Too many of the players this season have the 'Anyone but me' attitude where you just keep your head down, nominate the people already nominated before. Players like Lauren, Katherine, Rylie who do absolutely nothing in the game even as HoH. It feels like all the fun players to watch are going to knock each other out and we're going to get a floater endgame. Whereas last season Chelsea had control most of the game, nobody has control now, everybody is reacting. Most of the players are bad players. As much as I don't like Rachel, at this point I'd be fine if she won just cause she's *doing something*. Same with Keanu, I rooted against Cameron, I rooted against Tucker, Keanu is also a 'Bad social game, great at comps' player, but those seasons other players were playing, this season noone else is.
This season it really feels like freaking Ava is the favorite, for no reason other than she's the best at hiding and not being taken seriously. I just can't make her my new pick for that reason. I don't know who my new pick is. Wyll is also looking way stronger now than originally just cause he's in the category of "Doing nothing, not drawing heat". But I like him more than Ava so I might have to actually make him my new pick. I'm 90% sure the winner this year will be someone who does nothing and stays under the radar.
I honestly think this is the worst cast season since BB15, the season where four people were openly racist.
Rachel sure doesn't lack conceit, does she. I absolutely detest that nose-in-the-air attitude, as though she's not only the greatest thing since sliced bread, but she invented the damn bread and knife as well.
While I still have a couple of preferred ones still in the game, at this point it's Anybody But Rachel.
And last night's episode illustrates why she's so forgettable.
Holy crap. Rachel is such a damned manipulative bully. So full of herself, mocking the rest of them as "newbies" who are too stupid to play the game and they might as well just hand her the money right now.
Lauren: Stop whining. Seriously, grow the hell up. Rachel won't care about you 5 minutes after you're out the door, so it doesn't matter if you make her mad.
Rachel knows what she's doing using her legacy to scare people off from nominating her. "If you look weak, you are weak".
I don't get why Rylie locked in a score that was already losing to Morgan when he had a whole minute to try to get a better one. Also I think Vince really screwed up by making the deciding vote. He lost 5 loyal allies to get 4 who see him as acceptable losses. But I guess lines are finally drawn.
After watching a few episodes in Survivor season 37, I totally forgot all these people but now I'm looking forward to seeing Christian again in season 50.
Vince should have kept better track of who he made Final 2 deals with.
I'm not going to miss Rylie. But then there aren't many left I would miss.
I will be very happy if any of them find enough brain cells to get rid of Rachel. I can't stand her, and if they let her get to the jury, the "I don't want to make Rachel mad at me" nonsense will continue, because they'd want her jury vote. Why they don't understand that they have to get her out NOW, I don't understand.
What a depressing concept. Don't any of them have even the slightest bit of ambition for themselves? Or are they just dazzled by Rachel's cheap-looking glitter wardrobe that's even more dumb-looking than the beauty-contest crap Taylor had spray-painted on herself in her season? At least Taylor's weren't ALL glitter and lace.
Anyway, I just had another look at the TAR cast. Holy crap. Angela, Taylor, and Turner (going by Matt) in the same game? I remember when Taylor hosted the BB jury that Angela was on, at one point she said, "Angela, this isn't about you anymore..."...
Vince winning HoH makes the game more interesting because it puts more people in play for nomination. But in general he's starting to annoy me. His strategy is "Say yes to everyone, when he's in power just do whatever he feels like that week, and then try to get out of it by crying as if it was some horrible decision they had to make". He doesn't own any of his strategic choices.
I like Keanu's decision to throw the comp, he waited until nobody was left who would nominate him and then jumped down, so now he gets safety for the week, no aggro his way and gets to play again next week.
What do you think the odds are next week is a split house? Time-wise, there will need to be two double elimination weeks. Last season, Janky happened at 10, previously, the Fire Fest parody happened at 10. I think they're doing a split house next week. That'll shake things up giving people no place to hide.

Actually, I'm relieved that there isn't any "Janky" stuff. That was hard enough on the viewers. I suspect it may have caused some degree of trauma to the houseguests.
The latest eviction: Meh. I'm neither pleased nor displeased with who was voted out.

I would have rather it been Ava. She's one of the most passive players of all time, staying under the radar because she's so completely nonthreatening, and I'm worried she's going to coast all the way to the end and win.
But the person who went home is no big loss at all, also practically a non entity.
When is somebody finally going to take a shot at Rachel? We're too far in for people to still be this intimidated.
