“Judge Not” - Jake is charged with sharing classified secrets when he publishes an article based on information given to him by a reliable informant. The justice system requires a panel of three judges for his trial - one of whom is the informant! But Jake stoically decides to see the trial through, refusing to tell anyone this, even though the penalty for his crime, if found guilty, is long imprisonment and hard labor (for real years, not fake ones like in "Hard Time"). Meanwhile, O'Brien can't stand one of Keiko's friends, but has to bite his tongue when she hits it off with Julian.

(edit: I decided it probably wouldn't be a death penalty.)

The Prophet Picard

Guest starring Patrick Stewart

Captain Picard has shore leave time built up and he decides to spent it doing archaeology on Bajor. While digging amongst ancient ruins, Picard discovers a strange gem that shimmers in direct light showing different colors. Suddenly while he is holding it, a beam of energy from the gem engulfs his body, stunning him to the ground. Shortly Picard recovers.

The people of Bajor are stunned when Picard starts quoting ancient Bajoran scriptures in flawless ancient Bajoran languages. Many of the people and some of the priests come to believe he is the return of Ute Epoth, a legendary ancient prophet known and revered for his compassion and healing abilities. Believers start coming to see him to ask him to heal their maladies that have proven unhealable to the latest Bajoran and Federation treatments.

Picard's personality becomes quite over the top and pompous. He begins to give people ridiculous tasks they must do in order to be healed such as shaving their heads, painting their bodies head to toe in essence of the very foul-smelling toark plant, taking pointless quests to nowhere, having them do his laundry or other errands for him.

Kira and the priests are quite unsure what to make of it until finally it is decided to get the Emissary's input. Sisko meets with "Picard" and is able to get "him" to admit that he is a trickster spirit who is possessing Picard. Sisko and Kira along with the priests take part in an ancient Bajoran ritual and succeed in exorcising the spirit from Picard.

Later, Sisko and Picard talk, revisiting their conversation from Emissary. This time, both men are able to open up and share their feelings about Wolf 359, this time truly seeing things from the other's point of view. Both men part knowing that they will be better friends in the future.
