Jaguars Fire GM Trent Baalke

Why didn't they do this to begin with? I do wonder how folks like Shad Khan make so much money when they make so many poor decisions.

Khan likes Baalke and wanted to keep working with him, he just underestimated how well regarded Baalke is outside of the Jaguars organization.
 
Liam Coen pulls himself out of the running for Jaguars HC, they fire Trent Baalke, now Coen is taking to them again.
 
Pete Carroll to the Las Vegas Raiders. 3 years. At 73 he's the oldest head coach in the NFL. I wish him well, but I don't think it's a good fit.
 
Saw someone post this. The last time a team lost an assistant coach to become a head coach elsewhere -- Raiders, never.
 
Bobby Slowik was an OC who was a hot name to get an HC job, kept saying no and returned to the Texans. One year later they fire him and no more HC job offers. That’s why you always have to strike while the iron is hot.

I doubt he is unemployed for long.
 
Slowik couldn't adjust to all the injury problems that happened on the offensive side this season, and the offense went backwards from his first year. I'm not sure it was all his fault, but our offense had just become way to predictable. Texans also fired all their offensive line coaches, which I was happy as hell to see. Another bad offensive line performance like this year and they'll turn Stroud into another David Carr.

I don't envy Schottenheimer having to ride this out, and I don't know why he'd take the job, but he's going into it eyes wide open.
 
The talking heads say offense, defense and special teams is above average to great for the final four teams.... except for the Commanders defense. Eagles are going to run all over them.
 
Yep. Seeing that already. They’re going to need to do a lot more than settle for field goals.

This is gonna be ugly. :(
