Set at the University of Indiana, Hawkins. Home of the fighting Gormogons.Yeah the long waits kinda suck nowadays.
You get 10 episodes of a show and then a year passes.
Hell, it’s been like 5 years since the last seasons of Stranger Things and Yellowjackets.
The gaps between seasons is another example of how studios view streaming shows the same way they view movies. Of course, with movies, the average person likely doesn't find it too much of a hassle to find a couple of ours to watch the previous film just before the sequel comes out to refresh. It's a bit more of a chore finding time to rewatch six to ten hour long episodes before a new season starts.
That’s definitely another thing.
At our age, we always have to go back and remind ourselves where we are before a new season starts.
When I can, I like to let a whole season load before I start, so at least I can watch it all the way through at once.
Another issue with streaming shows is that because of their nature with the studios wanting them to be immediate successes, if they aren't and you still want to see what the fuss is about it (if you happen to discover it), then it won't always be available as they'll likely be pulled and sold off. Used to be guaranteed that a show found a home, it would stay there, but that certainly hasn't proved to be the case.
What makes it especially difficult is the streaming landscape itself, at least in Canada, where everything seems to be parcelled out to different services and aren't exactly where you'd expect to find them. It's been frustrating when watching media tours across different talk shows, hearing about something interesting, only to find out that that I either can't get it here or it's not on a service I have or have never heard of, and it often times takes research to find out as it's not immediately obvious.

'Good Omens' will not be go forward with Season Three, instead it will end with a 90 minute special.
Not sure about the next one but there have been a bunch that I enjoyed. For example; Kyle XY before ABC family became FreeForm, young & hungry that show was nice touch.
In this day and age---shows that are cancelled tend to be favorites by the fans and not the producers and we live in that kind of world.
Another example: Domino Masters was a good show but haven't heard about another season since it ended after 1.

All Niel Gaimen stuff has been tanked since the appearance of some unfortunate sexual assault allegations.

I know this thread is about tv shows being canceled but I'd thought I'd go ahead and post that TGI Friday's has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. I thought they closed years ago.
I'm honestly not surprised at this. Their customer service was consistently bad for years. There were at least 4 different locations in Miami that my wife and I have been to, along with a couple others elsewhere when on vacation, that had really bad service. (And we're both very forgiving.) Friday's, because of this, ended up being on our 'Moratorium' list because of said consistently bad service from every location we've been to... in fact, it's the ONLY place on our list that is there due to that reason. (Almost all of the others were all price related.)
Their Jack Daniel's stuff was great, too. My mom is able to replicate that sauce exactly. (She's really good at figuring out the ingredients just by taste alone.)
