News Obi-Wan Kenobi series premiering on May 27

Someone break the news to McGregor that they are calling it 'The Complete Series'.

They could still bring Ewan McGregor back for another season, and just give it a different title. That they can still say this was a one and done, and now they're doing a new show.

Not really a guarantee given the precarious state the movie industry is in at the moment. Hell, even the once guaranteed to be a blockbuster MCU has now had a movie which ended up being a financial disappointment.
 
What kind of plot would they have left for a movie?

They wouldn't have him fight Vader again, would they? Would it end up being like Dooku in the Clone Wars?
 
Honestly, I'd be down for a tale that didn't feature him fighting another Force user. But I concede that might not work for the majority.
 
It would probably have to be another threat to either Luke or Leia, I can't really see anything else driving him to take action again.
 
Training with Qui-Gon. Lessons presented via flashbacks to the audience (Clone Wars. Days training Padawan Anakin. Days as a Padawan with Qui-Gon. On the run with Satine on Mandalore)
Saving Luke from Tuskan Raiders or the Sarlacc Pit after he crashes his speeder?
Maybe have a final lesson that ends with the events of Rebels presented from Obi-wan's point of view.
But most of the show is flashbacks or stories with the training as the framing device.
 
I want to say, of course the implication of Twin Suns is that they hadn't met since TCW.

(but then we thought the same thing about Vader, and look how that turned out.:ouch:)

but seriously... it is the events of Rebels which send Maul to Tatooine in the first place, so...
