Tribble-ations two episodes

Suppose you could make a "Trials and Tribble-ations"-style episode with any two episodes, or one episode and one film.

Which crew would time travel to which other event?

A by-product of a substance/device used to make their temporal displacement undetectable or deal with side-effects.

Animated Trek could handle it - they've already mentioned on LD something about the different look of TAS vs them - although they'd have to animate from scratch and not use old footage, unless they put animated characters in old Trek footage alongside live action episode characters and settings.

I'd probably go with GAMESTERS OF TRISKELION and THE LIGHTS OF ZETAR. But I'd send the animated classic crew to give it a ''Sealab'' effect. What could possibly go wrong?

Never mention it. Just like they should have done with the Klingons in "Trials and Tribble-ations"

Loved the mention and then Enterprises further expanding of it. Too bad Discovery had to go and totally ruin it...smh

Two major missteps, IMO. Pros thinking like fanboys

We have pros right now who for some reason cannot learn how to write around established continuity even loosely. Lol It's all ego of course. (Yes I know Star Trek continuity has never been perfect but it's utterly abysmal now)

They're doing fine. Has nothing to do with ego. That's an odd conclusion to jump to.
Continuity shouldn't be a straight jacket.

I agree it should not be a straight jacket but it also should not be outright ignored either. Picard season 3 was excellent in this way.

I enjoy strange New Worlds (Discovery to a far lesser degree) but they went overboard on many things to the point I just think of it as separate from TOS, all the Berman Trek and Picard.

Shouldn't enjoyment come first? :vulcan:
