Mirror Tuvok

IIRC, Paramount wanted a Voyager character to appear on DS9. Given Voyager's setting made crossovers difficult, showing the Mirror version of one of the Voyager cast turned out to be the only practical option. Not sure why they chose Tuvok specifically, maybe Tim Russ just happened to be available when that scene was filmed?

Berman requested it, if MA is to be believed (have salt shaker ready). In the same article, it says that Sakonna was to be that character originally.

Fair enough if you're not interested in what I've posted, I appreciate it's just a throwaway thought without much substance, but I'm just trying to participate in the community and this doesn't read as particularly friendly.
Ok. I apologize. I just meant they probably decided it was nifty to have someone from Voyager.

At least they didn’t have Neelix instead

Out of curiosity what would you do different?

Have Tuvok the big bad?

Hmm, good question! I think yeah, have him play a prominent villain role. Maybe overthrow Mirror Kira because, even though I love camp, Nana Visitor chews the scenery and then some. I watched the mirror Enterprise episode recently and enjoyed the constant double crossing and seizing of power (though with all that happening it's hard to understand how anyone gets anything done!)

All you need is a mutual enemy. Even the MU comics there was scheming amongst the Romulans and Klingons as they fought against a powerful Terran Empire.

You manage the keys to power that even if they conspire it takes multiples to move. Then you focus that conspiring outward, at enemies. So long as you have an enemy conspiracies are less likely to take hold.

But, it takes a very dominant leader to achieve this. The Terran Rebellion didn't have that until Sisko.
