Sure, because the A's are only one elite player away from greatness. With the No. 1 pick in the 2024 draft, the A's can pass on an elite player because he's a Boras client and pick someone else.

In order to do that, they'll have to lose 45 out of 52 games, which would be a winning percentage of .135.At this point I'm still rooting for Oakland to beat the Philadelphia A's 1916 record of 36 and 117, which gave them a winning percentage of .235, the worst in the modern era. In a 162-game season, that would mean a record of 37-125 or worse to make a new record, and 38-124 to tie. Come on, guys, you can do it!![]()
At least they aren't Joe Buck.Whoever picks the announcers for those AppleTV+ games deserves some kind of penalty, such as death.
At least they aren't Joe Buck.
Or Chip Caray. It's not Chip Caray, right???At least they aren't Joe Buck.
D-Train wasn't terrible. I've never heard of any of the others.Nope, no Chip Caray.
According to Apple's press release at the beginning of the season, their lineup includes:

Rules analysts:

Randazzo has done play-by-play for the White Sox and Mets, and is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers.D-Train wasn't terrible. I've never heard of any of the others.
Are those last 2 ump apologists during games?Randazzo has done play-by-play for the White Sox and Mets, and is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers.
Faust is best known for his hockey work, as the LA Kings' play-by-play announcer from 2017-2023. Faust was also mentioned by Alex Trebek as a possible successor for host of Jeopardy!, but I don't think he was ever seriously considered; he certainly wasn't part of the parade of guest hosts after Trebek died.
Spilsborghs played outfield for the Rockies from 2005-2011; since retiring, he's done pre- and post-game analysis for Rockies games.
Watney covered the Red Sox on NESN, and then moved to MLB Network in 2012, where she was host of Quick Pitch from 2013-2021.
Whitaker is the field reporter for Tampa Bay Rays games when she isn't doing Friday Night Baseball for Apple.
Gorman and Scott are retired umpires.
That video is no mas, but it's all over the place.
