What happened to Star Trek Magazine

So I actually got my physical copy of issue #7 in the mail today! That means I have now received both the physical issue and the digital supplement without needing to contact them for the second issue in a row! This is the first time I can make such a claim! Happy to see that maybe they have got their delivery problems ironed out, and hopefully this is just the start of an ongoing trend!

ETA: Guess I spoke too soon! Looks like this must be how this mission plays out in the Prime Timeline, while things go a bit better for the runabout in the First Splinter.

Good issue. I'm still reading through it. But I really liked the John Peel story with Garak.

I'm told my story for #8 will be in the magazine itself. It's been approved -- it's a Voyager story called "The Kellidian Kidnapping."

This will be my first story featuring Voyager characters that primarily takes place in the Delta Quadrant......

I believe I have a TOS story in issue #9, not sure yet if it's going to be in the print edition or the digital supplement. And just to tease: Kirk is the only series regular to appear in the story.

I’m also supposed to have a story published with Issue #9 (as well as one in Issue #8). As with Greg, I don't know if it will be in the printed magazine or in the digital supplement. But all three of us in one issue. Not too shabby.

I'm not following the Magazine. If all the stories were eventually collected, like it was done with the STO short stories, that'd be great.

You may already know this, but just in case, just wanted to let you know that the collections have already started. The first one came out at the end of 2022.

Nope. It's a hardcover book. I have a copy on my shelf.

Thanks for the alert! Just verified that my Pulaski story (from the digital supplement for issue #4) is in this book. Will be nice to get a hard copy.

I'm probably going to let my subscription lapse now that they're releasing these collections. The short stories were the main draw for me, and the other content just isn't measuring up (granted, it's hard to see how it could; like, the art and production design stuff was a big draw for me for the big glossy 2000s magazine, but the people making the shows are putting ten times more stuff than could fit in any article at larger sizes on-line the weekend after an episode drops, and I don't know if it's economical to do the kind of narrative deep-dive into the hows and whys of making the shows in this day and age).

I mean, I love magazines, but I can't deny the sun is setting on their age.

Three stories into this book. It's great. I highly recommend it.
