    My mind is blown. This:[IMG]
Is the fascistverse version of the season 3 finale Borg battle:
General Picard took his old ship and captured the lone remaining Borg Queen for Eradication Day.

We've seen the same events occur at different times across different timelines in Trek repeatedly, from Kirk and Spock in engineering during a battle with Khan in Wrath of Khan and Into Darkness, to the Enterprise-D dying via warp core breach at the hands of Klingon Birds of Prey in Yesterday's Enterprise and Generations, Tuvok getting blinded battling the Krenim in Before and After and Year of Hell etc.

Picard will have Dukat’s head next!!!! Oh wait, Sisko already did that. Martok? The Nagus? F2184495-4FA6-437B-AB2D-483F1F36EEEA.jpeg
This does however mean that Janeway must decimate the Borg with her pathogen in *all* multiverses.

The skull from the trophy room was also reused for the up close shot of the gooey rotting Borg head

Janeways virus did that? I thought that her virus was intended to disrupt/remove the Queen so that the shielding protecting the interspacial manifolds supporting the Borg transwarp network were rendered inoperable so that Voyager could fire it’s transphasic torpedoes to obliterate the transwarp network? I did not know that it was actually a flesh rotting virus? I thought that Sphere 634 had assimilated this specific pathogen anyway? @Deks ?

No..the borg was getting gooey because the Queen was cannibalizing the collective and the drones

I would not say that the Queen was cannibalising the Collective, that is a very broad statement considering the limited number of drones that were on the cube which had been relocated to Jupiter. The Queen may however have been repurposing biological and technological components from the drones aboard her vessel in order to facilitate the survival of the Collective, or at least her ‘bubble Collective’. The needs of the many and all that… but this is what Borg have always done to survive.

I still think that Section 31 did it, and that this was a new or evolved pathogen….

Btw, has anyone else noticed the spire like super structures that this particular cube was projecting? The Enterprise D weaves in and out of them quite spectacularly. Could this ‘super’ cube have been intended to have become a new Unimatrix Complex within the Sol system? It looks like this cube may have been attempting to convert in to such a super structure.

She was definitely cannibalizing her drones for selfish purposes. When Picard calls her out on this, she doesn't really bother to refute it.

Would love to find a higher resolution of that painting.

Beverly would've had to be one of these guys to manage that many phasers at once. Or else phone a friend.

    I did too, at first.

Then I realised we are seeing the performance starships must be engineered to deliver, we are just seeing the D deliver like never before.

Is that the first time we've seen a Galaxy class's rear phaser arrays fire? The two next to the torpedo tube.

Also the reason this looks so much more acrobatic is the highly dynamic camera movement which we’ve never seen before.
Not even DS9 starship cinematography was quite there with the Defiant.
And because the scale of the Borg cube as a ginormous static reference point adds to the effect.

The Borg *are* selfish in action and deed without the realisation of being so, you are treating the Borg Queen as an entity separate to the Collective, as an individual. The Queen is the beginning, the end… the one who is many. She *is* the Borg.

I think you just have to say 'Computer, attack pattern theta' or press the equivalent button on the console.

I'm sure they had pre-programmed stuff like "attack pattern Delta-1" and the like, but Geordi said he didn't have time to work on the weapons and Bev would have to work them manually.

I'd bet that's why the Titan was firing more phasers at once in her battle, even though Beverly did use the aft ventral phasers for possibly the first time ever.

Yup but I think these were the ventral aft not the dorsal ones. Still pretty cool to see the D use arrays that have been there and never used!

I'm not 100% we ever saw phasers other than the ones on the saucer used. Maybe the one on the head of the battle section when separated, and maybe the front ventral (though maybe some other effect coming out of there)?

Of course the phaser coming out of the front torpedo tube doesn't count.
