Interesting you picked Seven and Janeway for this episode.Thanks. That's what I thought myself. It reflects very well the chaos that is B'Elanna's mind and is in stark contrast with Tom's slightly cynical smile.

Do you think that was really the reason? Perhaps ... But it seems to me it's a tradition with VOY not to bring certain characters back. Where are the Maquis from LEARNING CURVE? They seemed interesting. What about the crew of EQUINOX? And that guy that Seven dated in SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME? I understand that Carey was not brought back for budget reasons (or very rarely). But I'm not sure about the rest ...
Oh well ... at least there are some excellent stories with some of them in the form of books. That's ... something, I guess.
I won’t rail about continuity at the risk of sounding as old as I am but the show runners did seem to be a little uh, distractable.
