Yes. You grew and evolved.
In some ways. In other ways, no.
I suppose that's the intent to show here, but unfortunately the writing lacks the maturity and nuance necessary.
I mean, that's exactly what I've been reading in the performances for the last 3 years, so I would say that it is working on some level...mileage will vary, I guess.

I am very much on your side of the fence here but I can see CC's point as how much is too much is highly subjective - not least of all because all of us posting here are unreliable narrators and will have remembered/forgotten different bits of prior episodes which inform about the characters.

There will be an element of confirmation bias too as CC may have been exposed to people where the changes have been more subtle than people we know and so we are adamant that the changes are in line with reality but if your lived experience doesn't back that they will seen jarring.

@CorporalClegg - I hope I'm not putting words in your mouth or speaking for you here. Just trying to reason how, in a way, both positions are "right"

Another one between Nemesis and Prodigy/LDS/PIC flashbacks/whatever...

Better than Data, but still weird...

Just finished watching the premier on the Cruise. I did like the gag of having people at the rear to spot the ship. That was funny.
The reveal of the Changelings was rather odd but I suppose it will make sense later on.
I’m guessing it was either Lore or Peanut Hamper they stole from the institute. I’m going more with the former at the moment.

Good episode, moved the plot along nicely. Picard and his interactions with Crusher felt real and painful for him.
I wonder if the baddies under their masks are going to be updated jem’hadar? I have a feeling we’re going to be dealing with more villains than just changlings

HOLY CRAP

This is the same show that gave us Season 2? That can't be possible because this is one of the best episodes of New Trek I've seen since the start of Discovery

I was thinking it had a DS9 feel, and then the Changeling revelation happened, and it felt like watching a DS9 episode. I wish we had some of the DS9 characters, but this season just got kicked into high gear.

If I could give that more than a 10 I would. For the first time, I think I can feel the hype. I expect it to continue.

Fuck me! When Sydney LaForge goes to speak to Commander Seven that got me in the feels

And would you like some chamomile tea?

Beheadings are on Wednesdays - sounded like a call back to Tuvok in Endgame when he is suffering from the psychological disorder

Unreal episode - up there with the best across all Trek for me - and felt like it could almost have been a film in and of itself

Some major BSG vibes on the bridge

Presumably 17 seconds is going to be a reference to the recharge time of the portal weapon?
