The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Just stumbled over this offer on a German online flea market, and I don't think the "OVP" ("Originalverpackt", meaning mint-in-package) is genuine:

Hmm... yes, in the 1998 GINO ("Godzilla in name only") movie, the baby creatures weren't shaped exactly like the big one. I see a couple examples of this product online that have the correct creature in that package, and it's also supposed to include a remote control. So in your example, somebody must have switched it out at some point, or it was originally a mispack at the factory.

The Disney Parks Droid Factory line has also released an articulated B2-EM0 from Andor at a time when the only Hasbro version of the character that anyone can get is the overpriced 6" Black Series version. It's solid, and a friend who has the Disney figure of 4-LOM says it's even better than the Hasbro 4-LOM figures released over the years.

I just got the Disney 4-LOM figure, and I can confirm that it's a very good figure!

If I had deeper pockets, I'd totally get that Blondie figure.

And this one:

That's pretty impressive. The blockade runner is on eBay already, for $599.99, plus $256.35 for shipping. Oof.

I wasn't planning on getting into Star Wars toys any time soon, but damn, these look enticing:

I've seen it called one of the best Falcons out there, especially for the price.

Yes, pretty accurate in scale, size and proportions, or at least that's the general aim. That's not really feasible in 1:18 scale (for the 3.75" action figures) as the Millennium Falcon would end up being five and a half feet long, and quite heavy, and prohibitively expensive. Basically a 1 to 1 copy of the first filming model. And of course, the interior is a whole 'nother matter, as it's been demonstrated that the ship must be a TARDIS or something, as all the interior sets that have been depicted couldn't fit within the exterior as portrayed. ;)

Edit: I did some digging, and one site did some measuring of the Micro Galaxy Squadron ships and found that they are not actually all in 1:72 scale like the little figures that come with them. The bigger ships are still smaller than they should be. Overall, the line gives a 'suggestion of scale' when putting the different ships together. Source: https://www.rebelscale.com/scale-lists/micro-galaxy-squadron/

Bandai's 1:72 scale Millennium Falcon is about 19 inches (48 cm) long, while the Micro Galaxy Squadron Falcon is about 10 inches (25.5 cm) long.

The X-Wing has the little figures close to the size of the Buzz Lightyear ships---which actually make the X-wing look pretty wimpy in a side by side.
