Brent Spiner & Series Three

Methuselah Flint

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
So who do people think Spiner is playing in season three?

We know he's a 'new old' character, and that poster art for him along with the other main cast would potentially flash up big spoilers, hence the secrecy.

Thoughts?

You know, for somebody who was that eager for Data to be killed off in Nemesis so he wouldn't have to play him anymore, Spiner seems to be coming back a LOT lately... ;)

Data should have gotten the aging program that Juliana Tainer had. Problem solved.
That episode said Data could age.

RIKER: Why does the scanner read her as a human?
CRUSHER: Because she has a feedback processor designed to send out a false bio-signal.
LAFORGE: It's part of her aging programme. Not only does she age in appearance like Data, her vital signs change too.

I'd rather have him back as any form of Data than yet another Soong. That's all I know. Unless he plays Noonian in a flashback or a log-recording or something. That could be ok.

He could simply return as Altan I guess.

Terry says he's playing an 'old new character', someone if you were to know about now would raise a million questions.

So it's not Altan, because why would that raise questions?

'Old new' at least suggests someone from the past. But perhaps in a new form.

Maybe Lore in a synth body?

The line in the first trailer sounds like Lore. Sounds more baddy than goody.

Too bad that that line contradicts everything we knew about Data up to that point.

If he's in it as much as the rest of them, unless he's been paid a shed load of money, I'd be surprised if he's wearing the makeup again. That said, if this is the very end for TNG, he may have been persuaded. So it's possible it's B4.
