Certainly looks more plausible now, although it's still entirely possibly Harris is playing a new villain.
I'd wondered Master of the Land Of Fiction, given Beep and the Wrarth Warriors, but the Bristol sets say Toymaker (or new equivalent, in either case)... I also wonder if these are for the same story.
I'd be surprised if they went with the Master of the Land of Fiction if only because they would want to avoid confusion with The Master.
They're dressing part of the city for the aftermath of what looks like a plane crash in the present but the area around the Toymaker's shop is being made look like the 19th century. (The most traveled London taxi ever. It's gone from Camden to Cardiff and now to Bristol.)
Ouch. Rachel Talalay has COVID and will be directing remotely until she's testing negative. Hopefully it's not part of a wider outbreak on set.
The Toymaker would be an interesting villain, assuming they remove the very problematic elements of the character and just leave a creepy alien guy who makes messed up toy based death traps. I am not particularly excited for a potential Beep appearance, but I guess as long as he acts like he's described in the TARDIS wiki (aka looking cute but actually being a sadist), he could be interesting. If nothing else, this feels like its going to be a wild story.
That's essentially what Big Finish did with the character (including the unfilmed Colin Baker script) and he has worked brilliantly in that mold. Done right, I think the character has a lot of potential.
Riots and chaos. https://mobile.twitter.com/ChopsyBristol/status/1537002541136887810?cxt=HHwWhICytd7qw9QqAAAA
Crazy how well he looks for the part after all these years. IMO, looks better than he did in Day of the Doctor. At least, from what we can tell from set pics.
Let's be honest with ourselves; there's no way he's not going to be singing. Edit: He's already dancing... https://twitter.com/Darveyinbed/status/1537041292450050072
