I'm liking the show a lot, so this is a joking gripe...

There continues to be an odd manner of showing people stymied by the smallest of obstacles. First it was Leia's pursuers stopped by a few branches, this ep had Obi-Wan struggling to open a laser-gate that could easily have been walked around, and bad guys not being able to follow good guys because of some localized flames. It's vaguely comical, yo.

Vader's intro was great. Very threatening. The actual light saber fight between Obi Wan and Vader was a bit poor IMO. I get that Obi is out of practice but come on! He basically just runs away scared from Vader. I really hope we get a better rematch.

It was originally slated to be out on the 25th. Presumably they just held the premier back two days so that it coincided with Celebration.

Don't worry. We will get one more episode of Obi Wan getting out of dodge, then an 80s training montage in the penultimate episode after a pep talk from Qui Gon and then a kick-ass rematch when he re-rescues Leia for good and everyone will have a laugh about Vader not realizing he had his own daughter in his grasp the whole time.

Well that was fun. The Zach Braff cameo was both unexpected and funny considering Donald Faison is such a massive Star Wars fan, and Zach is basically clueless.

Nice namedrop for Master Vos. Makes sense that he'd be in on this considering his experience working undercover. Hell he was probably one of the few Jedi already well equipped for life under the Empire. For a moment there I thought the name Fulcrum was going to come up, and while it'd make sense she's the one organizing the whole thing, it's just as well not to get too cute with the namedrops.
A little confused as to why Reva is still bothering with chasing Leia at this point. I mean she was only ever meant to be bait.
Interesting to get a glimpse of the Empire from the inside (somewhat), seeing Stormtroopers with actual personalities, getting a long with the locals. All the while there's still an undertone of menace to the whole thing. Feels like shades of Nazi occupied Europe & the Channel Islands. It all seems friendly until it's not. And now I'm wondering what a Star Wars version of 'Allo Allo' might look like . . .

Still not sure what the deal is with the Grand Inquisitor. Not massively important to the story right now, so I'll wait and see how the whole show plays out before I make up my mind about it.

As for the Moses Ingram situation: I'm not sure what aggravates me more, that it happened at all, or that I wasn't the least bit surprised. And to all those who would argue and quibble over this, or claim it's anything other than what it is: we see you, and we're beyond sick of your bullshit.

I'm blind I totally missed Zack Braff. I'm a bit tired after work though.

I didn't enjoy it as much as last week's but it was still entertaining enough. I loved the confrontation between Vader and Obi-Wan.

I think my confusion is mostly a matter of the timing of it all. Reva is chasing down Leia right what she knows Vader is cornering Obi-Wan. You'd think she'd be angling to be in on this fight, if only to watch Kenobi get got by her boss.

I could tell it was a comedian cameo the second he started speaking. Something about the delivery. Seth Rogan was my initial guess; didn't know for sure it was Zach until I saw the credit.

No, she was told her orders and she interpreted them in her own way. She bet her money on Obi Wan somehow getting away giving herself a new chance to shine.
So she looked for that opportunity and found it in Leia.

Side note: anyone else notice a difference in James Earl Jones's voice this time around? He sounds much more like his old self than he did in Rogue One or Rebels. (Understandable given the time difference of course, and not a criticism in either case, just an observation.)
I just wonder if they're using the same AI driven filter for him that they did for Hamill in BoBF & Mando. I mean if that approach would suit anyone, it would be Vader, given that it was always at least somewhat processed ADR.

Part of me wonders however if Jones even recorded the dialogue at all and it's Hayden's performance they're running through a voice replacer, and Jones is being credited for the use of his previous recordings as a dataset. If so I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it, though I guess provided Jones gives consent and is appropriately compensated it's OK.

I'm not saying it's implausible or anything, or even that it's a big deal. Just that it felt like a little bit like a case of the plot driving the character instead of the other way around. By which I mean it feels like she went after Leia because the plot needs Leia to be caught, or at least in jeopardy, not because that's where Reva's motivations are driving her. Up until this moment she's been laser focused on Kenobi, to the point of impatience and utter recklessness so it felt odd to see her veering off the trail, and suddenly thinking more than one step ahead for a change.

That's one of the things I really liked, that this fight was much closer in style of the Original Trilogy. Both Kenobi and Vader aren't the same men who battled on Mustafar.

But man, I was on the edge of my seat when Vader was on the hunt...

Vader vs. Obi-Wan was excellent. Considering it’s only the 3rd episode, we’ll probably get a rematch in the finale too.

Echoing what some others have said, there are some plot holes popping up in each episode. For example, how did the woman helping them get to Obi Wan so fast to help him? How did Reva find the other end of the tunnel before Leia got there? Overall, I’m liking the series but the writing seems pretty lazy at times.

Well, she didn't have to actually go through the tunnel, she could've gone around to the spaceport and looked for the other end, or the one person who was waiting by a seemingly-blank wall instead of cowering in terror.

Overall another solid episode. Gotta love the storm trooper slice and dice at the checkpoint! The actress who plays Leia continues to impress, not only with her actual acting skills, but how the character is written. I typically roll my eyes when little kids are involved, but this has really been done well.

Episode 3 was ok. The Kenobi and Vader stuff was excellent, the 3rd Sister still sucks (regardless of what the internet says, although of course the morons harassing the actress or hating the character because of gender/race are pieces of shit, she's still not a good actress), and Leia is still the fucking worse. She's way worse then Anakin in Episode 1, hopefully she gets less screen time next episode after being captured, although she'll probably just be making more crappy, too old for her age quips at the 3rd Sister instead of Kenobi. A full scene between just Little Leia and 3rd Sister would be the most terrifying thing to ever come out of the SW universe.

Little Leia is growing on me. Best performance so far.

Tension was palpable throughout the episode.

Also, naïve as it may sound, but I was taken aback by Vader's brutality in the village - particularly force snapping that kid's neck. Yikes. That was some pretty gruesome hardball he was playing with Obiwan to draw him out. But you know, it's Vader. We know what he's capable of. Still, it's one thing to see him choking Rebel troops or Empire officers with a disturbing lack of faith, but snapping a kid's neck is something else.
