Yeah, I’ve gotta say, catching up with comments thus far is surprising the heck out of me. Slowest moving? Hot mess? It was well-paced, neatly revelatory, delivered strong performances, and none of the dialogue was anywhere near as rough to me as several of you are saying.

I guess I’m just not used to being on the outside looking in; my opinions this season have, broadly, reflected the closest thing to a consensus that we ever really seem to have as a fandom. I suppose it’s possible a bunch of people will come out through the week and say they enjoyed this, too, but I was genuinely expecting to come back from watching it to see at least a bit more enthusiasm.

Well, not from Char, but he’s the Red Comet.

Maybe Q did get the message but because his powers are wonky, he has to take a bus there,

Not just the closest Q would have been summoned.

Billions of millions of... Half a dozen Q might have turned up to turn off that annoying racket... But none did.

Something has happened to the entire continuum.

No Kathryn in the Deltra Quadrant means Q is still in his meteor prison, and there is no Q civil war, so Q was never born.

Tying things together from episode 1 to the present, what if the Q Continuum and Borg were in the middle of a war which is why the Borg were seemingly so bad off in the first episode and also why Q's been acting weird and lost his powers. Also, what if the signal worked and the FBI agent is a Q, perhaps a renegade or even a Borgified one?

I keep flashing back to I Dream of Jeannie for some reason... Could it be the amalgamation of Jurati and the Queen (Jeenie), a Project Mercury capsule fresh in memory, summoning the jinn from the bottle, the spaceman, and the psychiatrist? All these elements swirling in my brain...

"I'm from X. I only work in outer space." Lucrative tee shirt line there...

"I'm going to touch everything!" Yeah kid. Just stay away from that Borg corpse over there...

That clinic has a great lost and found cupboard!

I love how Rios tried to be discreet, but honestly, how could they not be curious about the tech he requested from the ship?

Picard and Guinan arrested was so out of left field. So that's why everyone beamed in in full public view, they had to have this happen in the plot.
The trailer showed Jurati stomping on cars but it wasn't in the episode?

A weak 8. Could have been a little better explained but overall I enjoyed it and Rios' scenes were the highlight of the episode for me. I like how we're finally getting more backstory for the El-Aurian species after 33 years and at least a hint of their history with the Q Continuum. If El-Aurians have had regular contact with them over the centuries then that could easily explain why Guinan and Q were so wary of the other in TNG.

First of all, irl, the Secret Service is in charge of checking time travelers, not the FBI.

Second, its an immigration problem, so Picard is going to be dumped on the Mexican Border.

Third, look werey, werey closely at the FBI agent.

Don't he look familiar?

Of course, he was probably hired because he was on 12 monkeys, and the producer, who is the former producer of 12 monkeys does not give a monkeys about Voyager.

Fingers crossed.

A hot mess. Or rather, quite a boring mess. Oh well.

I suspected they'd go with Mom Was Crazy, but hoped they wouldn't.
So NotDucane is just another LE agent...

When in doubt, have someone of our crew arrested. Who's next? Also, throw in another song. Anyone else need promo?

Also funny, but unintentionally. "If that happens, forget the butterflies!" At this point, are you effing kidding me, Seven?!

On the bright side, both the father and young Picard actor were good.

I was sort of hoping Maurice Picard wasn't a complete and insufferable bastard. The vision in "Tapestry(TNG)" made him seem stern and disapproving but I had hoped his Dad wasn't a complete asshole. Although that would have explained Robert's personality and behavior towards his little brother.
