Spoilers Legacy character announced for SNW

Yay! A return to the WNMHGB timeline. The only true Trek!
In the Q Squared novel that being a different universe was a actual thing. Personally I would have just said the R was a in joke Mitchel had.
Apparently they didn’t have the money to change it for the remaster, even though I have seen YouTube videos where people have done it. :)

People got too much time on their hands.

Wow, now he really is the youngest Captain in Starfleet. If he was in his early 30s when he took command of the Enterprise that would put him in his mid to late 20s here. I imagine we'll see Kirk with a lower rank in season 2 and there will be some flash forward or time travel to him as a Captain. I'm guessing CBS want to set up all the pieces to have a big crossover with different Star Trek Captains later down the line.
Guy looks like a young Tom Cruise.

I remember last year there was buzz about Kirk being added to SNW and there was some "controversy" because there was talk of Kirk being bisexual.
I hope he is bisexual so they can stick it to Star Trek Beyond's "only Sulu can be gay".

While "Precipice" is a shit episode in and of itself with a terrible A plot, Mount's performance is one of the best guest jobs of the season. And the scene where he smashes his face into the mirror and then stands there with that creepy-ass smile and the blood running down his face is one of the best of the entire early-years run.

"Prodigal" is a half-assed follow-up to one of the best episodes of the season, with Wasilewski's performance being by-the-numbers good enough to service more Rosey/Glover banjos. And one I always skip.
You have a good memory. I only remember they were both in it from rewatching it recently

Wait so...
Kirk is gonna make out with Khan's granddaughter before having his issues with Khan himself?:guffaw:
The joke is on everyone. We are going to find out this is James R Kirk. Thus making him 25% different. Also the big revelation that this is all in a alternate timeline.
The big clue will be Spock wearing yellow that epsiode, and his eyebrows being 10° steeper than usual.

How old is Kirk supposed to be at this time? I know actors can play younger than their actual age, but dude is 39. They maybe could have went a little younger.

I'll reserve my outrage once I see how it goes. I'd much rather see further adventures with captain Lucero, but this might be interesting.

In the picture he sure looks like he is

If it's not just a publicity picture, then maybe he's taking the Kobayashi Maru test here. They certainly aren't gonna shy away from showing that on SNW I'd imagine.
