The Animals That Aren't Dogs or Cats Thread

People disgust me sometimes. A group from the horse rescue All Seated in a Barn is at another livestock auction in Texas, and there is a big group of ex-races horses that they cannot even look at because they are contracted to be sold to be shipped to slaughter. Apparently they were didn't win enough races, so the trainer or trainers, want them to "disappear" so they won't have them associated with their names.

I guess so.

Oh, and another shitty thing going on there, is that apparently the people there know who the people from ASIAB are, so they are purposefully bidding higher at the auction just to try to force them have to spend more money. And pretty much all of the money the using to bid is coming from their supporters' donation, so it's not just the ASIAB team that this is screwing over.

I saw this on the reels feature on Facebook (which normally annoys me like hell) and found him relatable at times.

Saw the girl who let me pet her horse this weekend on my bike rides this morning and yesterday. She was down on the far end of the riding arena and didn't see me when I went by yesterday, so I went back by again and stopped and waved when I saw her riding towards me, and that time she saw me, but it was cold and windy and she said that was making her horse scared of everything, so we couldn't say hi. I was going to just try and talk to her, but she took off before I could, and started to ride away, but I decided to try to talk to her when she went past me again, but she either didn't hear me or ignored me.
When I went by the riding club this morning she was staying down on the far side of the stables away from the road again, and when I waved as I rode by she either didn't see me or ignored me. I'm hoping I didn't do anything to make her avoid me. I'm thinking maybe she was just down at far end today and yesterday because he was still misbehaving, and she just wanted to keep him away from the rode. I don't think I did or said anything this weekend that would have upset her.

JUST ask her out on a "riding"-date that you have been hesitating over and get it over with. ;) Good luck and saddle up.
