I don't remember, the film washed the essence of whatever they said away.
But it was like one of those movietime specials before the film. Short, only a few minutes long, with two people talking to the audience as some scenes flashed. I remember it all felt very spoilery for SM, and included some Morbius.

I was putting my fingers in my ears and trying to shout above them in my head.

It didn't actually change any of the events that happened, it just removed their memories of Peter. So Happy and May would have still met, and still gotten together, but Happy just wouldn't remember any of the situations involving Peter. So he'd remember all of the events from the previous movies, there would just be a gap for him anytime Peter was involved.

Yeah... There's a bit of wibbly-wobbly going on with everyone forgetting Peter. I mean, under normal circumstances, why would Happy have even known May. Some random meeting in a coffee shop? I guess so, but still... Pretty hinky...

From Peter's perspective, all he needs to do at this point is show up at Strange's place and let him know that he's Spider Man and that a spell was cast to make people forget about Peter. Then we're right back on track.

That would be way too easy and uninteresting for Marvel. It completely remains to be seen if Holland continues playing that role - he talked about being burnt out from acting and seeing the projects he's done in the last few years i can understand him. He did Uncharted and 2 days after that finished he started No Way Home - despite us, the fans, often claiming A List actors are overpaid it can be hard work with very long hours, so not giving yourself a break between projects will take a toll at some point, even for such a young guy like Holland.

So if he continues it'll be interesting to see how the story goes on - one of the most enjoyable elements was his support structure, i.e. May, MJ, Ned and Happy. Most of that is gone now so it's a completely new ball game.

If he calls it a day i fully expect them to introduce Miles Morales, maybe with a cameo by Holland to mentor him for a short while.

Wonderful interview. I love that he improvised the "I love you guys" line, which was spoken from the heart about the actors just as much as the characters.

You can tell he deeply cares about this character and I think it's great he's open to returning again if the story is right.

Let's make this happen, Marvel and Sony! I don't care if they're just One-Shots! I need this!

After avoiding spoilers for a few weeks I finally saw it here in Tokyo just now..........Absolutely loved it. Everyone had a chance to shine, from the villains to all the SMs.........crowd erupted when AG appeared and got even louder for TM. It was a fun time.

Here's some concept art from the original version of the movie back in the days when it was supposed to release after Dr Strange 2.

It was mentioned recently that the introduction of the other two Spider-Men would have played out very differently and it looks like it would have been America Chavez bringing them in.

Interesting. I noticed America Chavez right away. Also, it looks like Flash and Betty would've had larger roles. As much as I love No Way Home, it is a shame their roles were so reduced. Betty was a glorified cameo.

It would've loved to see that bumper car sequence. Fun hijinks for all!

I just saw it. I knew there was multiverse stiff but didn’t know the other Spider-Men showed up.

At the end when they got sent back, wouldn’t they have still been dead, or did they get to go home cured?

Yeah, the other heroes forgot who Spider-Man was but know they fought with him. All he has to do is go say hi and take his mask off.

I saw the “Black Spider-Man” comment as a nod to Into The Spiderverse which was nice.

If the old villains didn't get to go back to their universes, alive, with their cure, it's a darker ending than the writers intended. Let all the spideys reverse all their regrets of failing to help these people only for it all to be erased.

Not to mention, it didn't occur to AG that if all these dead supervillains were there, why not Gwen? Is he going back to his universe, doomed to realize he may have missed a chance to revive her?

I'm watching Hawkeye right now, what would have been funny is if they had a scene with the statue of liberty in the background and explosions inexplicably going on with no explanation. They are in the same city at around the same time, after all. That'd be hardcore continuity there. Just making unexplained references to future projects that you don't realize what the **** they mean until you see it.

I also love the fact they chose the Statue of Liberty as the venue for the sole apparent purpose of being on genre.

It's been a long while since i saw the other Spiderman movies so it depends on the split second they return. Both Doc Ock and Green Goblin have good shots at surviving since it's their direct action that doomed them and if they arrive a few seconds before they can still stop ( assuming they also retain their memories of course which i think they do).

Dr. Connors returns in human forrm so no end fight there or rather he would most likely stop his plan so no need for a big end fight.

Electro doesn't have his powers anymore and is kinda sane again, so also no big end fight and death there.

As to Peter demasking himself - i don't know. I believe he's had his fill of giant, world ending battles after Endgame and just wants to be the teenager he actually is and live a normal life as much as possible. I don't think he would voluntarily enter the "Pro League" anymore because it cost him so much, instead it would be more likely he'll just be the friendly neighborhood Spiderman, help locally, go to college and just live his life.

What i wonder though thinking about it why MJ doesn't recognize him at all - they still went to the same high school together, were team mates in that science team, met at parties etc. That all happened before she found out he's Spiderman and the same applies to Ned. The movie made it look like they forgot about Peter completely which doesn't make sense given the parameters of the spell.
I know it's a more dramatic ending this way and kind of a reset button for the character but still.

I gotta stop thinking about the inconsistencies of the best superhero movie of 2021 and one of the best ones in general (just read that Sony is pushing for Best Picture Oscar for it)

Yeah, that whole absolute forget thing seemed odd. The original spell didn't make people forget Peter Parker existed, just that he was Spiderman.

It was a really good superhero film, but proposing it for an award that claims to be based on artistic merit is kind of a stretch. Lord of the Rings it is not. But maybe there should be an award show that just awards pure entertainment value to honor films like this one.

MTV did this with their movie awards, with some really funny categories. I don't even know if MTV actually exists anymore and if there are shows like these still around. I'm old.

I'm pretty sure it exists, but it's all weird reality shows and they haven't showed a music video since 2002.

Come to think of it, I have no idea if VH1 still exists.
