Just watched the premiere again and I enjoyed it a lot more the second time around. The visuals and music were still the best parts of the episode, but I really liked the characters. Dal could be a little annoying, but Zero, Murf, and Gwyn were great. I also enjoyed Drednock, and yeah there was a little General Grievous to him, but hopefully as the season goes on he becomes his own character.

Before I watched the episode I watched the Trek Culture Ups and Downs video and he brought up two things I really liked. The first was the idea that this could be a spiritual sequel to Voyager. It features Janeway, it's in the Delta Quadrant (We see a Kazon) and the Protostar itself reminded me a little of Voyager, at least the saucer part. The second thing (And I'm sure it was already brought up here) was what if these aliens we see at the prison colony were relatives or descendants of those whom the Caretaker brought over. That's going deep into the Easter egg basket, but it could be something worth exploring. That, and as far as we know Suspiria is still out there. Maybe we might run into Suspiria again, and with Hologram Janeway, she might have some of that knowledge from the Voyager journey.

I'm excited to see where this series goes, and yeah it's directed towards Kids but I do think it holds enough for everyone to enjoy it.

My favorite Title Sequence in Trek is Voyager, followed by Enterprise. I think I might need to reshuffle that because I love everything about Prodigy's title sequence. It's majestic, his some amazing visuals, and I've already watched it more than 3 times.

This was much better than I expected! Dreadnok was too much like Star Wars for my taste, but the rest was much better than the trailer led me to believe.

Does anyone else think that this might be set in the Kelvin Universe?

The main 'villain' in the tank (the 'Diviner') knew of the UFP and Protostar. It stands to reason he taught Federation Standard (among many other languages) to his kid (Gwyn) who then decided she likes it.
It also makes sense that he would impart to her the notion of the region they occupied being the Delta Quadrant.

If that's the case, then its also possible the Diviner is originally from the Alpha or Beta Quadrants and possibly one of the UFP species... or he may have simply heard of UFP and decided to adopt the term... though, not sure why he would do that if he's not a UFP species or a A/B quadrant species familiar with those terms (though he seemed rather 'obsessive' about the Protostar... so much to the point he created a whole mining operation to search for it).

Just caught the first episode and I really enjoyed it. Some of the action was a bit Star Warsy, but it really held my interest. 8 out of 10.

I really liked most of the characters, and Janeway appearing at the end was a lovely moment. I mean she could have appeared in the episode a little sooner, but there's always next week. ;)
