Black Panther
Ant-Man
Thor: The Dark World

*Norton should have been the only MCU Banner, as he was far superior to Ruffalo.

**The film did not need the airport fight; the tension between Rogers and Stark was enough to carry the film past that scene...and yes, Spider-Man advertising was obvious.

***That was as close to the great Journey into Mystery / early Thor issues as the MCU was going to get.

****Aka MCU's Batman Begins.

Norton is a great actor, but I didn't think Norton really fit the role well and Ruffalo did.

Winter Soldier is way out in front for me.

The rest:
CA: First Avenger
CA: Civil War
Iron Man
Guardians 1 and 2 (tie)
Black Panther
Captain Marvel
Shang Chi
Ragnarok

Agreed. Norton's great, but even including Bana and Bixby, he's probably at the bottom of my list (which is still a great list, really).

Bixby was the greatest live-action Banner overall, but where the big screen version is concerned, Norton leaves Bana and Ruffalo in the dust.

To me, Ruffalo is closest to Bixby who was also my favourite, which is why he works best for me of the cinematic actors.
I think for Bana, I just adore that first Hulk movie so much (despite general consensus) that everything in that movie, especially casting, works. Oh, how I wish Connelly and Elliott were brought over to the MCU like JJJ's Simmons. They were just on another level compared to Hurt and Tyler.

Really tough call all around because I love most of the films to varying degrees. Thor and The Dark Lord are the only ones I'm hesitant on rewatching.

1. Black Panther
2. Infinity War
3. Endgame
4. Homecoming
5. Far From Home
6. Civil War
7. Ragnarok
8. Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2
9. Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 1
10. Captain Marvel

...at the moment. This could always change.

On the Banner debate, Bixby will always be my favorite. Nothing will ever change that. I loved Norton when the film first came out and I was really bummed out when he was replaced. However, Ruffalo has really grown into the role and I've loved everything he's done with the character. Bana who?

Yup, I really lament that, too.

There's something so much more fun about Vol. 2 that really jives for me. Don't get me wrong, I love Vol. 1 and it was a tough call to place it below Vol. 2.

I thought Bana was a great Bruce Banner/Hulk, and the "Hulk" film was a powerful origin story. The other actors were also great in that film. I guess it just wasn't the kind of Marvel film most audiences were looking for.

My list would be. 1 Winter Soldier. 2 guardians of the galaxy 2. 3 First Avengers movie. 4 first Captain America movie. 5 Infinity War. 6 Endgame. 7 Iron Man. 8 Civil War. 9 Guardians of the Galaxy part 1. 10 Spiderman Far From Home.

I still maintain that Black Panther is a very competent mid level entry in the run of Marvel movies, but is undoubtedly the most culturally important.

Whether that entitles it to a position in the top ten I really don't know.

I didn't care for that fight either. I think the conflicts between the characters could have been handled better and in a different way.

It probably gets the 11th spot for me. It was a really good super hero film with some really good performances (irregardless of politics).

My Top 10:

1. Iron Man (2008)
The first MCU film, and probably still the best.

2. The Avengers (2012)
It made history, and it still stands up as a great film (even if Cap's costume doesn't hold up at all :rommie:). Loki is probably still the best MCU villain (well, more like reluctant/anti-hero nowadays, but you get what I mean).

3. Avengers: Endgame (2019)
A great finale to Phase 1, with some of the most epic moments in the whole MCU. I think everyone who saw it will remember its biggest moments.

4. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Even as just the first part of a two part story it did a great job and works as just a very good movie, and seeing the heroes actually lose was a great cliffhanger.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
I legitimately love this film, its technically #5 on my list but its very close to the others. The story and cast feel like they work even better here then in the first one, and overall its just a great movie from beginning to end.

6. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Chris Evans as Captain America is great, and this was his best solo film. Different from other MCU films that came before, but still fits the MCU well.

7. Captain America: Civil War (2016)
As one of the few people who actually enjoys the comic event I still really enjoyed this film. Even if it barely resembles the comic, it works with a similar concept (heroes being hunted by the government), and it is definitely still Cap's movie, even with so many other characters involved in the story.

8. Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Easily the best thor movie. We don't have to deal with the idiot humans, and the humor/action are great. Hulk/Bruce Banner are also standout characters, and who doesn't love Loki, Hela and the Grandmaster? It loses a bit by the film not taking some moments seriously enough (killing off the Warrior's 3 and Thor never really acknowledging it or really the death of Asgard in general is one of the few big flaws of the film), but its such an enjoyable experience that I can forgive its faults.

9. Black Panther (2018)
T'Challa is great, Killmonger is an interesting villain, and getting the kind of world we get with Wakanda is something that feels very unique and different.

10. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
A very good movie that hits the tone its going for perfectly. Great action, and it just feels like a Captain America movie.

To me their is only 1 bad one in Thor 2 and only 2 on the cusp of being bad and that is Ed Norton's Hulk movie and Captain Marvel. Action scenes save them and even though I don't like Captain Marvel as a character I do like watching her kickass. Great moment in Endgame is when she just destroys the alien spaceship.
