Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Very nice! I was tempted to go for this line, but I don’t think the wallet or the wife would go for yet another Eaglemoss subscription. So keep them coming!

Got the XL Reliant, very solid

Would hope so! My regular-sized (not Regula-sized) Defiant has a warp nacelle and the crossbar break off every time you so much as sneeze at it - it's like it thinks it HAS to replicate the final nebula battle!

It amazes me that they got the bridge dome for the XL Reliant correct and still screwed up the 1701-A.
And that the writing of "U.S.S. RELIANT" is so unreadable/unfinished on the XL Reliant.

Edit: Romulan Vessel (The Romulan Warbird Formerly Known as Romulan Bomber) has been delivered. Preview page shows Narek's Snakehead as next issue, and at the bottom Oh's flagship, the Wallenberg, and the Romulan warbird (2399).

I’ve bought some sister ships of the La Serena to give it some company. I’ll give a person a like if they can tell me where they are from?

This trio aesthetically goes together! The blue-yellow looks like a customised Colonial Viper. Don't recognise the red-white.

According to Memory Alpha, new upcoming issues have been confirmed:

Bonus Edition 30: Benthan coaxial warp-drive prototype (VOY). Link: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Steth's_ship

XL Edition 29: USS Discovery NCC-1031-A. Depending on when it comes out, this might be the first Eaglemoss-published model representing a ship with intentionally detached components.

XL Edition 30: TNG-era Borg cube. Questions: Is it a Japanese Borg cube or a new mold? How does it's size compare to the light-up subscriber special?

 I like how you put in "intentionally detached components", considering it's a pretty regular occurrence to get models with unintentionally detached components. :D

As for the XL30 Borg Cube, not only am I confused whether or not it's a new mold vs. the old Japanese version vs. the ilght-up subscriber model, but also the final model of the regular line #180 was supposed to be a large-scale replica of the First Contact cube (which I haven't seen yet). Not sure if this is yet another repaint of one of the other 3 large cubes, or something entirely new.

Thanks! I sought to preempt the obvious follow-up, "Hehe, the Eaglemoss models are often shipped with detached components anyway, lol."

Issue 180 was a standard-sized model. You have not received it yet?

Nope, not gotten it yet. I'm still missing, I think, about 5 or 6 of the original main line, going back to the Fesarius. There was a stretch there when they got their new warehouse online and things started breaking loose rapidly in the past few months. I got about 7 of the other missing main-line models, but things have slowed down again and there is a small handful remaining that are yet to be delivered.

I'm in no rush. I know they know what's missing and I'll get them in due course, now that I know how things work with them.

I have the feeling it will be "spore jump configuration" when they're attached.

If they do detached, I wonder if it will be clear plastic strut extensions or if they'd do a stand that holds the engines seperately (the former being necessary to swoosh it around your room, of course).

I'm actually okay with that. Psychologically, for me, I know there are a finite number of ships to spend money on. They're not really making new designs for the game, just fixing up and re-skinning old meshes. It makes sense they're only going to focus on the most prominent ones.

Fun fact:
This morning on an English TV channel, a B'rel--class bird of prey and a D'deridex-class warbird from Eaglemoss sat visibly on the shelf of the person who was interviewed from their home.

Eaglemoss models live on TV! :bolian:

I really wanted them to make the TOS era ships from Agent of Yesteryears.

Yeah. I never understood why they didn’t make those. They must think selling Discovery STO variants will sell better. That and it’s probably cheaper since they have those moulds already
