Let's put any misconceptions about the demographics of DSC Fans to rest once and for all.

Pretty self-explanatory.

What if I like parts of it a lot, and other parts not at all, but like it enough to keep watching overall? XD
That would be "indifferent". I tried to change it to "in the middle", after I thought better of the list of options, but it wouldn't let me. I was trying to go for the least wordy poll options possible.

EDIT: I'll add the distinction into the list.

I'm in the middle....

30-44 seems to be winning out, so far. Not exactly "super-young" but also not exactly "aging" either. Just like I thought. Neither picture ever sounded to me like an accurate description of DSC Fans in general.

Indifferent. The one free episode of Discovery shown on CBS wasn't enticing enough start paying for a streaming service just to watch. (Same can be said for Picard.)

Yeah, my all-time favorite show is Mad Men. My all-time favorite film is Blade Runner.

And I like TMP better than any of the Abrams Films. Plus I've said several times that my favorite thing to come out of New Trek is "Calypso".

So good luck with pinning that label on me. :p

I would expect most Discovery fans to be middle aged Star Trek fans, because I don't think Discovery is making any new fans.

I suspect most PIC/STD fans are just remnants of the older pre-existing fanbase.

I don't actually think the 30s are "middle-aged", especially these days, but that's an argument for another time.

On the other hand, I'm in my 40s now, so I have to reluctantly call myself "middle-aged". Even though I don't look it.

I would think of it as (in general terms):

Under 20 --> Very Young
20s --> Young
30s --> Young-ish (not quite "young", not quite "middle-aged")
40s --> Middle-Aged
50s --> Upper Middle-Aged
60s --> Old-ish (not quite "middle-aged", not quite "old")
70s --> Old
80 or Over --> Very Old

I started watching season 3 of Discovery, but Mandalorian kinda took over for a while, and Discovery couldn't compete. I plan to finish someday, but Seasons 1 and 2 were the best Trek since TNG in my book. :)

I’m 45 and about 14 episodes into season 1 and I’m loving it. In fact, I think I like it more than Picard, (though I admit my expectations for PIC were high).
