Blu-ray and DVD release of season 1 on October 6th

Me too, do you know if the US release is region free?

I will report back once I have it, normally around 10 day’s. Normally Star Trek Blu-ray From CBS area region free but as there has been no international announcement I am beginning to wonder if this means it’s been locked.

Deleted Scene, just as well IMHO. It'd open up a huge can of worms:

Price lowered to under $35. Trekmovie also has a review up now.

I look forward the seeing some scenes gloriously uncompressed on the new TV.

The bluray makes it to number 1 seller on Amazon as well as taking the #7 position for the steelbook.

Picked up the steel book at best buy, they had 2 steel books and one regular edition they both have pretty nice covers. Thats more stock than I ever saw of Discovery at that store. Picked up Rick and Morty season 4 along with it now I have a lot to rewatch.

I cancelled my pre-order for the regular edition (Amazon shows it out of stock) and ordered the Steelbook, which is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and has already entered the shipping process. Fingers crossed.

My shipping confirmation from Amazon came late night last night, so I imagine I'll be getting it tomorrow.

I went out to a store and bought the Picard dvds this morning.I'm looking forward to watching season one again.

Do the DVDs and the steelbook bluray have the same special features? I'm looking at the packaging and the listings look identical.

The standard Dvds have the Chidren of Mars and storyboard and comments by the writers on several of the season one episodes.I've watched a few of them they've been interesting commenting about the storyarc for season one and changes they made working on the scripts while filming the first 3 episodes.

Ugh. Just saw that the gag reel is exclusive to the blu ray. No reason to rent it now! As I don't have a blu ray player.

Don't get why they're not doing what Discovery did and have the gag reel on the DVD version as well.

Hope they're put on Youtube, so that those of us without blu ray players can watch too.
