Proof please.

Even if that happens, they still won't air until 2021, thus my comment about "Just not any this year because of that thing that's been going on."The shorts with the Enterprise were the ones filmed during Season 3 of Discovery. They will probably film more right before Season 4 starts filming.

Unless I time travelled I’m pretty certain I saw the Enterprise shorts last year, months before Discovery Season 3 wrapped production. They were filmed after, not during.
Oh whoops, I misread that as Season 2.Unless I time travelled I’m pretty certain I saw the Enterprise shorts last year, months before Discovery Season 3 wrapped production.

I have seen it, but I can't share it cos CaptainXaviOfEarth deleted it.
I wonder why that tweet got deleted.
What Tweet?
Yeah. When do the laws of diminishing returns kick in?
I did love in the 90s having 2 shows on at the same time, but this is different because this year and next there will be like 4 shows on throughout the year, albeit not together.
I just checked in with Tele5, out of curiosity and nostalgia, and they're showing three Trek episodes daily, (TNG, VGR and ENT), plus a re-run of the previous day's TNG episode. In my native Germany, there’s Star Trek on TV every day, even 15 years after ENT ended.
- Discovery
- Short Treks
- Picard
- Lower Decks
- Strange New Worlds
- Prodigy
- Section 31 (?)

Oversaturation. Good to know they learned nothing from the 90’s.
Nowadays is the world of streaming. CBS may not expect everyone to watch each Trek show, but rather target groups cherrypick their favs and bingeing seasons when they’re all out. Even when the shows go off air, CBS retains access to loads of contemporary Trek for re-runs.
It was inevitable as soon as they announced plans for yearlong Trek. I'm just gonna enjoy the next 2-3 years before it all tumbles down.
I can only speak for myself, but I feel like I watch Trek kind of out of obligation as a fan. I'm curious, it's new Star Trek, and we get to talk about it here. Hell, On the nights that the new episodes are released I'm staying up and watching for the most part, like this last week staying up till 11:15 PM watching the premiere of Lower Decks. When you say fans cherry pick what they like, As someone who likes Star Trek, that's easier said than done.

There’s a difference, though. ‘90’s Trek overlapped between two seasons, while CBS’s thinking here is that when one show breaks between seasons, another show takes its place, therefore there’s no time when Trek isn’t on the air.
