It's my favorite series though closely followed by TNG and DS9.

It was logic that the Maquis plot vanished. The maquis members were about 30 people. There was no chance that they could have taken over the ship. Chakotay realized that their only chance was to join the Voyager crew on their terms and since most of the aquis liked and respected Chakotay, they did as they were told. Some of them, like Dalby, Henley, Gerron and Chell took longer time to adapt. The real troublemakers, like Seska, Jonas and Suder revealde themselves sooner or later. With them gone, the Maquis were most likely well integrated at the end of season 2.

The Borg were over-used. I mean, they were finished already in TNG, no use to bring them up. In retrospect, it would have been better if Voyager had managed to reach the gamma Quadrant and had to face The Dominion. They were a better enemy.

You do have a point here. As I see it, Voyager had the best characters but DS9 had the best character development. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Voyager had had better writers, like those involved with DS9.

By the way, great avatar with those Frogs ships! :techman:

It's definitely not perfect, but it was pretty great.

I am also a huge FPS game fan and my first introduction to Voyager was, interestingly enough, through Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (hence the user name). That's what led me to want to check out the show and I've been hooked ever since.

My favorite PC game by far. Still have it installed and occasionally play it to this day! I was surprised to find some players still play the multiplayer on Holomatch.

Once again, the Delta Quadrant was the home territory of the Borg. It had to happen.

The Elite Force games are probably the best Star Trek games we're likely to get. Having the whole Voyager cast was great, and the mode where you get to explore the ship was awesome. I wish the 2013 game had that.

A nice little egg for those that have played EF1...

During one of the missions, your team is ambushed by the borg and the leader of the team, Lt. Foster, is taken and assimilated by the borg.

One the next mission to the borg cube, Seven of Nine accompanies you, and here is where the game diverges depending on the choices you make. (albeit, it is not a HUGE divergence)

Your team runs into Lt. Foster being borgified, and you have a choice. Rescue Lt Foster, or write him off as a loss because the mission is the priority. If you decide to save him, and you make it in time, then Seven of Nine will be taken over by the borg periodically later in the level as their spokesperson.

If you fail to save or choose not to save Lt. Foster, he will then take Seven's role and be the spokesperson for the borg on the cube.

It was a nice little touch.

Also, for those that have the expansion and have done the "Virtual Voyager" Tour, when you get to the holodeck and run the Boothby program, you find out that Boothby might not be Boothby at all ;)

Regarding the Maquis, it seems to me that season 2's "Resolutions" was the show that finally said, "Look, we may have been from 2 crews, but after 2 years we are now one ship, one family." In that show we see Starfleeters and Maquis actively work together to overcome Captain Tuvok's intransigance in order to save Janeway and Chakotay. :techman:

In the season 2 finale, we see the entire crew work to save their Maquis XO's son from the clutches of the enemy. :ouch:

The complete blending of crews was why in season 3, Tuvok thought Janeway should delete his year one security program designed to train his minions how to defend against a Maquis mutiny. He felt it was no longer needed, and he was right. It was not needed as a training program, but definately needed as an entertainment / distraction. :bolian:

As for the BORG, I would never complain about something that not only gave us (two) BORG Queens, it also gave us (and Picard) Seven of Nine.

The tour was nice, but not enough. Most of the rooms were in the main game already. But the Captain Proton mission was great, and the assimilation game mode was a nice idea!

In the comic, the Borg returned at the end to help fight the Vorsoth! And Biessman was voiced by Biff himself, Tom Wilson!

It is my fav series. Not only my fav Star Trek series but my fav any series.

I still haven't found anything that I like as much as ST VOY. And when I first came across it, it had long been finished. I didn't see the episodes in the correct order (the first one I saw as ONE) - just occasionally caught an ep here and there. I fell in love with it and when I finally saw it from the beginning I fell even more in love with it. It seems I am the faithful type because that love has been lasting for nearly two decades now. And since then I have watched all sorts of series from CSI to The Big Bang Theory, from other Trek shows to The Midsomer Murders, from StarGate to Poirot - you name it . And I still haven't found anything that would come anywhere near Star Trek Voyager.

As for other Trek, Deep Space Nine comes in a distant second place after VOY. I can't bear to watch the rest of Trek, with ENT being the ultimate death of mine. I have never seen the new ones but going by the reactions Picard sounds even worse than on TNG. I might give Discovery a chance one day (AFTER the show is finished - I hate watching stuff week after week waiting for the next episode).

I love all the Trek shows except Discovery and Enterprise. T'Pol is a character who keeps me from watchin a ENT episode ever again. And I don't want to pay for another streaming service just to watch Discovery, a show where I can't feel anything for unknown characters. Voyager, DS9, TOS and TNG are my favorites.

B'Elanna is awesome and I really enjoyed how the show developed the relationship between her and Tom in a genuine, realistic way. One of the things I'd have actually liked to see on TNG is the Riker/Troi relationship actually happen...shame that it was reserved for the movies which were, to put it mildly, not that great.

It's not my favorite series (that honor goes to Discovery), but it does crack my Top 3 and always has.

I love the characters and the way it blended the Episodic/Procedural approach of TOS and TNG with the Serialized approach of DS9, which is why I refer to it as a "Serialized Procedural".

I'd probably class it as my second-favorite, after TOS. (Yeah, I'm old....) TNG comes slightly after -- I enjoy it but it can feel a little stuffy to me.

I'm not sure where it is established exactly for the first time the Borg are from the Delta quadrant. The first mention I find of it is from 1996 (First Contact), when Voyager already ran, so it could have been a set-up.

Second - given how humongous the galaxy is they could have crossed through the Delta Quadrant for decades and still never meet the Borg. At least, if we're going with Chakotay's statement that the Borg have "thousands of systems, millions of vessels". That's nothing compared to the 400.000.000.000 stars our galaxy counts.

TOS is an amazing show -- well, at least Season 1 and Season 2 :) Season 3 was very hit or miss.
