Apparently debatable.
Every thread is in danger of not becoming a Star Trek thread We must be ever vigilant.

Damn it!!!!

But, that was truly pointless. We have blasted idea what purpose it would serve. Trip's was the definition of needless, next to Kirk's.

Icheb's directly impacted a character in the story. That already has done more than Trip's death in one episode.
But was it worth it? IDK sounds like fridging to me

People who didn't like the gore or violence... I'm wondering if they forgot some of TNG. A character is split in half on screen after phase shifting through the floor, Riker/Picard explodes a guys head with their phasers, Riker's arm is surgically removed and reattached, Tasha randomly killed out of nowhere, Data was about to kill a guy and more.

Certainly not apropos to this situation in any way shape or form.

Best not to throw complicated political terms into a conversation when it is obvious that you don't completely understand their actual meanings.
Icheb does not in any way represent what you think HE does with that comment.

People tend to black all that out. It's just happy humans spouting Shakespeare and enlightenment.
