Yeah. I really don't remember Picard being mean to anyone besides him and it was well deserved.
he was really condescending to all of them and talked like a bigot about them when talking with Riker. What how dare they not be born in this century!

Not really. I'm more "bothered" that Maddox doesn't have a more prominent role.
It looks like we'll be getting more of Maddox in flashback / programmed memories.

Like when Picard treated regular people from the 20th century like they were war criminals or something. There was a house wife a stock broker and a country singer hardly the worst humanity has to offer
Given the context of the times--late '80s, Greed Is Good--I had no problem with seeing the stuffing taken out of a stockbroker. However, that part of the episode gave us the goddamn no money / we work to better ourselves thing, which haunts us to this day.

TNG wasn't seen as the definitive Star Trek since season 3 of DS9

I never saw it as the definitive version of Star Trek, but I was arguing with people about this subject up through 2002-ish. After Nemesis tanked and DS9 was released on DVD and started airing on Spike, that's when I began to notice a shift toward DS9.

Today is a little different now. Today it's defending DSC and PIC against people who hold up TNG-ENT as the definitive version of Trek. Half of which I think is bullshit because weren't these the same people who hated VOY, ENT, and B&B? I think the position they're taking now is ridiculous in context with the one they had before. They're flip-flopping.

We have no money in the future and you guys are horrible! Now buy our overpriced shit and watch some commercials for you to buy more things to add to your possessions!.

Also the Enterprise still has horrible security measures if a 1980's stock broker can get to the bridge of a star ship
