Spoilers The Flash - Season 6

I wasn't really a fan of that episode. It was boring, and it basically stalled until the end where what we saw last week was finally addressed, not to mention the possibility of seeing Harry Wells again. One could say it was one long teaser to next week, which is a shame because it's a wasted episode.

Wells or Thawne?

Harry Wells, (formally?) from earth 2.

I was trying to make you second guess yourself, becuase I'm a bastard.

Besides, we can't have two Wells on the same Earth anymore.

So that Wells looking like person was either a Wells about to go into terminal shock, a Wells that already has a fix for doppleganneritis, a psychotic break in Nash, or a trick, or it's Thawne.

We don't know for sure yet whether Earth-Prime can or can't have doppelgangers at all.

Supergirl gives the impression, so far anyway, that doppelgangers from dead Pre-Crisis Earths on Earth-Prime don't all suffer from "there can be only one" syndrome. Maybe what happened to Beth on Batwoman was an isolated issue , for plot required reasons, that happens to an unlucky few doppelgangers but not all of them.

On Arrow, there was an "There can only be one speech" as to why Quentin got the Wrong Laurel.

Why not? There were two Winns (SG).

Not for very long.

Toyman converted to digital, which is as good as topping himself.

Also Winn is not immune to the killer effects because he is from the future. He's not going to have any immunity to the doppleganger rule in the future, until after the fix is invented in the past, and only then does everything upstream rewrite.

That bit was about who Oliver resurrected not about how many they could have.

Do you have a second to talk? Want to step into not my office? So, uh, what's up? It's about Oliver.
Well, not exactly him, but Who his sacrifice brought back.
- Like me? - And Tommy and Moira But not me or the other me, yo your Laurel.
Look.
We don't exactly know the rules of this whole resurrection thing.
Yes, we do.
You're all of the people who Oliver would have wanted his sacrifice to bring back, and Laurel, she she would have been on that list, too, if it wasn't for me.
Oliver's death, it fixed everything else.
Why didn't it fix this, too? Because, sweetheart, there is nothing about you that needed to be fixed.

Only one Laurel is allowed.

Still doesn't state that only one is allowed. It's just pointing out Laurel-2's guilt over Oliver bringing her back rather than Laurel-1.

And again Supergirl has so far shown doppelgangers (Those dumped in Al's Bar and a second entire Earth) existing without issues.

This is why I never thought merging the universes was a good idea. It's supposed to be a way to have stronger continuity among the shows, but so far each show is handling the consequences of Crisis in a way that only applies to its own narrative and if anything creates more discontinuities with the other shows.

It takes more than 24 hours for the effects of doubling to cause issues, and another 24 hours, plus, for the doubles to start dying.

The Bar doubles... Maybe they didn't get sick, and then dead until later, after the final credits rolled?

Although those doubles are leftovers from the last multiverse, who might still operate under old physical principles, and could be fundamentally different deep down, so they are only superficially dupes, and they can coexist fine.

I finally remembered that I hadn't seen last week's episode yet, so I watched it this morning. I didn't think it was that bad, definitely not one of their best, but I thought it was pretty fun. The stuff with Amunet and Goldface was pretty good, but the stuff with Barry and Iris was kind of weird. We got this big development with him coming to terms with Iris's growth, but then it was completely negated with the whole mirror reveal. As for the stuff with Alegra, I saw that as being more about Frost and her continuing development than it was about Alegra herself. And it also gave us some more hints about her being a doppelganger of Nash's daughter.

And it also gave us some more hints about her being a doppelganger of Nash's daughter.

Which is weird, since it would have to mean she was the daughter of Earth-1's Harrison Wells (since she was part of the cast pre-Crisis), which doesn't fit with her backstory of being "born into a family of criminals" (to quote the Wiki) and being Hispanic. Unless her mother had an affair with Wells.

Or it could be that her doppelganger wasn't Nash's biological daughter but an adopted one.

So they just turned Sue into a Catwoman type character?
I wondering what’s happening to Wells? Is the Reverse Flash taking him over?

I did like Sue Dearbon, but it would be nice if the writers remembered that the show is called The Flash, not The Iris or The Elongated Man.

I thought they even forgot he was Elongated Man when he first got beat up with the camera.
Sue is giving off that Nora Darhk vibe (even a slight resemblance).

The Sue Dearbon and Ralph story was fun. And the two definitely have good chemistry together. Although Cecile's bit about how they are surfing the same wave was definitely not subtle at all. A bit cringe worthy actually. Yes, writers we get it: Sue and Ralph are going to be a romantic couple.

The mirror dimension with Eva and Iris was interesting. I'm definitely wanting to see where it goes. Although I do hope they don't drag on the Mirror-Iris arc too long. I don't really care for stories where one character is an impostor and the other character does not know it.

Not enough Flash. This episode just used him as a quick deus ex machina to save Ralph and wrap up the story.

My big pet peeve with this episode was Sue's escape at the end. Why didn't the Flash catch her? She couldn't have gotten very far. The Flash showed up like a minute after she left. She is not a speedster. The Flash could have easily caught up to her. But Ralph and the Flash just conveniently do nothing and let her escape because the plot demanded it.

Well, they've built up so much anticipation about Sue Dearbon that I wasn't sure she could live up to the hype, but she pretty much did. She's fun and hot (especially in that black catsuit) and has a good rapport with Ralph. And it looks like she ties into the Black Hole arc that's building up now, so she'll probably end up working alongside Team Flash to get them.

Meanwhile, we also get the setup of Eva McCulloch as a new, presumably non-villainous Mirror Master, which was a bit bottle-y -- Eva tells Iris that there's this entire mirror world out there, but they spend the whole episode in one room. Anyway, I noticed that Eva's actress Efrat Dor was listed as part of the main cast rather than the guest cast, so I guess she's a regular now. Which is good, because she's even lovelier than Sue.

So the Iris double seems to have an evil agenda involving the Mirror Gun. I'm assuming she's the entity that reached out of the mirror to abduct the real Iris, and that she has some connection with Black Hole. Maybe she's the actual Mirror Master in this storyline. Or maybe Eva isn't as innocent as she appeared and was putting on an act for Iris.

Hmm. If the evil Iris is her mirror reflection, should we call her Siri? But that would be confusing alongside the Alexa product placements.

That happens so routinely on this show that I've stopped worrying about it. Heck, it's worse when they call attention to it, like here when the Flash says he did do a sweep for Ultraviolet (who was a higher priority than Sue) and somehow couldn't find her even though she left moments before.
