There's nothing we've seen so far in PICARD to indicate that Racism is in any way involved with the relationship between Jean-Luc and Raffi.
You're placing an emphasis on something that nobody else sees.
And it is a bit disturbing.

What's even odder, is the chorus of voices on this forum that are not only defending this writing decision, but attacking those who point out the absurdity.

It all goes back to the "10/10, shut up troll" mentality that has become pervasive in greater nerd culture. If anything is attached to your favorite property, we no longer use the scale of 1 - 10; we use 10 - 11.

The most boring, pedantic drivel you can find on TV will be given a "10/10" by fanboys as long as it features the character(s) they are invested in emotionally; and anybody who offers any form of criticism will be designated as a "troll" or "bot" to invalidate said criticism.

I like Picard so far. I think it has potential and that the second half is set up to be very good. That being said, the show has flaws. Many of those flaws are in the writing, and pointing that out does not make you the devil.

Everything you like is not a 10/10, and everything you dislike is not a 0/10. Just stop it.

If you have issues with moderator actions, take them to PM (the Conversations feature) with the mods in question. Do not argue with the moderators in the thread, or bring issues with moderators in other forums into unrelated threads. You're doing the same thing now.

I am not arguing. I am absolutely calm. But you are right, it’s best left to PM’s as not to ruin other fans enjoyment. Thank you for being the most respectful out of all the moderators regarding this, and the most clear.
