Do they use any previous sound effects?
Are there any other known aliens in addition to Romulans, Borg, Synths?

I'm beginning to wonder if this show will even have episode titles.

Picard: The Motion Picture
Picard: The Wrath of Sela
Picard: The Search for Data
Picard: The Voyage Home
Picard: The Final Frontier
Picard: The Undiscovered Country
Picard: Generations
Picard: First Contact
Picard: Insurrection (a real one this time)
Picard: Nemesis

;)

Season 2's episode titles are still in progress. They hit a roadblock after the third episode.

How much do we see of the new characters, particularly Rios, in the first three episodes? What are Rios' interactions with Picard like, particularly their first encounter?

Sorry if I missed this in the prior discussion, why do the Romulans kill Dahj on Earth? And why are they unaware of the twin in their Borg cube facility? And is the twin also named Dahj? And why put a positronic brain in a human body that is going to age and get fat?

Thank you to those answering questions, today has been a bad day, but I truly enjoyed the escape offered by reading this thread.

I can’t really understand why @Crewman6 thinks that there is not enough story in the first three episodes. Maybe the pacing is off but i really like the backstory/ premise of the show. Maybe he actually liked the episodes and didn’t want to overly excite us

If you’ve read countdown #2 you know that
The romulans were provided with ship wide access codes by an yet unknow benefactor

maybe maddox was responsible for the
hijacking of Picard’s ship

and maybe it turns out that maddox is also responsible for the destruction of Romulus. He seems to be kinda ruthless

Well HE has actually seen it. It is his opinion. I'll decide on the 23rd.

Ruthless in that he wanted to do whatever he could to create an entire race of artificial lifeforms.

That's a different kind of ruthlessness than from wanting to destroy Romulus. It's not his MO. That's a very special kind of twisted and he'd have no real motive. If he makes the AIs responsible for destroying everything, he'd have to know that the Federation would never allow him to continue any further or for the AIs to exist any longer. So it would be counter-productive for him.

@Crewman6 stated that Maddox was one of the most powerful persons in Starfleet. If Maddox actually became something like a hidden dictator he might think that the Federation has to get rid of his enemies. Clearly the synths were trained to fight. Dahj was created by Maddox and she knew too many secrets so she got killed.

i am still saying it is all interconnected. Maddox somehow created the Hobus supernova in order to “protect” the federation from the Romulans. And he had to make sure, that no “Refugees” make it to the other “shore”.

This show clearly is about the balance of powers within the Federation and its inner struggle to live up to it former ideals...

Why not just make him director of Section 31 at this point?

Is the actor who played Maddox still alive or still acting in case they want to use the character later on?

Ha! No need.

But I think I'm done for now. The show isn't far off, so everyone just enjoy it when it gets here!

I look forward to comparing notes once we're all on the same page...

Hold on just one more question. Does the episodes show us Picard in his bare chested pajama's?

I saw him last year and got an email from him last week... kinda wanna ask him now if he's gonna appear, but he wouldn't say anyway XD

Larry Nemecek said there's a little retcon line and it's very earth-bound. The theme is like an aged TNG theme, an octave deeper or so in style. He recommends watching TOS Balance of Terror in addition to the lists that are out there.
