URGENT - Wikipedia Star Trek entries being deleted

What if something happens to Memory Alpha?! We saw what happened to it in "The Lights of Zetar"!
There's still Memory Beta. Our descendants might get confused given they acknowledge the show and novels, including contradictions with no attempts at reconciling them.

"Jean-Luc Picard was promoted to the rank of Admiral in 2381. In 2386 Admiral Picard retired from Starfleet and took over his family's vineyard. Then in 2387, Captain Picard faced a court-martial over his role in Section 31's forcibly removing Federation President Min Zife from office. Though Captain Picard was found innocent of criminal intent, his connection to the incident was enough to prevent him ever being promoted to Admiral. Captain Picard continued to command the Enterprise thereafter, where he continues to serve."

See! Without Wikipedia, there is chaos!

Nothing that happens on Wikipedia is "urgent",

Hey, that's until you need to know who replaced Peter Cetera on bass when he left Chicago in one minute or less. :nyah:

PS: It was Jason Scheff (who as fortunate happenstance had a similar singing voice as Cetera)---yeah. I'm truly a wealth of useless knowledge.:whistle::rolleyes::rolleyes:

We don't have the new "Short Treks" outside US/Canada yet. While checking for the airdates for a US-based friend, I noticed that the current "Short Trek" entries had one- or two- sentence descriptions, but were deliberately chock full of spoilers, way more than a typical "TV Guide" log listing. Totally unnecessary in a brief description.

I removed two crucial spoilers - and was immediately admonished and my changes reverted. Wikipedia, it seems, is not a spoiler-free zone. Removing the spoiler ruined the entries for those fans wanting to be spoiled. (That's like "TV Guide" declaring that Edith Keeler gets run over and killed by the truck in TOS in the 60s' first-run.) I no longer go to that page any more.

Memory Alpha is the reference for canonical materials, i.e. the TV shows and movies.
Memory Beta is the reference for licensed non-canon materials such as novels, games, comics, etc.

Kor
And Memory Gamma is about fanon

In the page you linked to, it appears that these pages went through the standard voting process for deletion, and the vote came in favour of deletion, so I'm not really sure that anything can be done at this point? But it seems that Spartaz is just carrying out the voting decision and deleting the articles; it is not like they are just going through and removing Star Trek-related articles on a whim.

Maybe the Star Trek-specific wikis would be a better option for you? They were created specifically for Star Trek-related information, so you wouldn't have to worry about information being deleted from them for being "non-encyclopedic". The Sovereign class article on Memory Alpha will list all the on-screen ships (although in this case, it is just the Enterprise-E), and the Sovereign class starships article on Memory Beta will list the ships both from on-screen and official non-canon resources.

HTH

Oh REALLY? Where did they 'vote' on the issue? And secondly why are you people so OKAY with this? Its a stupid, prejudiced move by Trek haters.
