Unpopular Trek opinions game

TOS is like original cast SNL.

If you watch the greatest hits compilations, it’s amazing.

If you sit down and try to watch every episode in order, it’s a chore.

I've had very bad pizza. Sometimes it is just bad.

I've only had one time where I considered pizza bad. My wife ordered from Donato's and the sauce tasted like it was from a can of Spaghetti-O's. Don't know if the sauce was bad or what?

Sex on the other hand? Can't even think of a time where I've had bad sex.

I'm still having flashbacks to a very, very stupid post I made 20 years ago. :p

Anyway, suffice to say, even bad TOS is fun to watch. Unless it's Kirk being ridden around like a horse. I wish I was making that up.

TOS is like sex or pizza.

Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

Until the doctor returns the diagnosis and the medications aren't clearing any of those neat new rashes up or the baby starts to scream "I WANT STAR WARS, NOT STAR TREK, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!", and so on.

Ooh! Ooh! Can I share a story about my ex?

No worries, I won't... apart from the time he ordered a pizza but couldn't pay for it and what transpired is nothing like in those special documentaries he shared... :wah: And yes, I made that last bit up. :(

Or as my uncle Lars said, "Who t'rew up on da lefse?"

(Note that I've had pizza exactly three times. Chicken Alfredo pizza, with onions and garlic. Pretty good, if rather fattening. To me, a more conventional pizza really does look like "who threw up on the lefse.")

Well, lefse looks good :)

But, I love a good pizza. BBQ chicken is one of my favorites, as well as a good (and fattening) all meat.

Unpopular Opinion: "Aquiel" isn't a bad episode. I liked it when I was 13, I still like it now. I'm probably the only person who'll defend the episode, but I appreciate that it puts the spotlight on someone who isn't a model officer who they suspect might be a murderer but it turns out she isn't.

It puts some nice gray into TNG. In another Star Trek series, this wouldn't look like as much of a breakthrough as it does here.

Sisko was a better captain than Picard. If a primitive race of beings was about to go extinct, Picard would let it happen siting the prime directive. Sisko, like Kirk before him, would say to hell with the prime directive, save the people and deal with the aftermath.

PS: DS9 was a much better show than TNG. ;)

Unpopular Opinion: "Yesterday's Enterprise" is overrated.

It's the original GNDN reset-button episode the events of which never even happened by the time the credits roll.

They’re all better than TOS.

I just watched that last night and no, it's not bad at all. TNG is not my favourite series. I often find it cringe inducing but Aquiel isn't bad.

Unpopular opinion: I think most of Picard's speeches are pompous and stupid, especially the one about time being a friend reminding us... etc.

It's like saying that someone who keeps kicking you in the teeth, is a friend reminding you how good it feels not to be kicked in the teeth!!!

I wonder who came up with that crap.
