That was one of the best episodes of the entire series. I also realized maybe the team is holding The Flash Back because this was the best Acting Gustin has done since probably season 1. Ramsey also became a much better character.

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
    it wasn't Ramsey.

Ramsey is a whiny asshole concerned about his own mortality and petty justification.

    The virus was pure ABC.

This was a good episode though I'm not thrilled with the title character making the wrong decision. That's not Barry. The arguments the Speed Force were making were terrific.

Of course, this is a two parter, so the story isn't over and of course I fully expect Barry to be Barry by the end of next week, so I'll just enjoy the ride right now.

I would love to get back in Barry's head next week and the battle continues.

I found Flash and Arrow both to be at the top of their games, even if I didn't like the messages in either. But again, this stuff does have to play out and I can't truly evaluate a story that isn't complete.

Hopefully this momentum will carry forward into Crisis, and hopefully the Ramsey storyline will end next week. On the back end of Crisis, I'd like to see something completely new.

Neat action scene with Elongated Man in the opening. Okay, the CGI was obviously CGI, but this was a full on comic-book-style superfight with EM's powers in heavy use, which we don't see much.

I'd wonder if Ralph's injuries here were an excuse to keep him out of Crisis, but fortunately the released publicity photos show him on the Waverider with a bunch of other heroes in costume.

I was confused on whether Speed Force Nora was real or part of Ramsey's manipulations. Her "slip" of saying Ramsey's powers could save Barry seemed too convenient, and her claim that Ramsey was beyond anything the Speed Force had ever faced before seems pretty ridiculous. But it did seem at the end like she was really countering Bloodwork's power, or trying to.

I personally like the idea of Bloodwork (yukky name) and his goal -- of "saving" life... makes him an interesting villain...and the actor is great, especially when he gets a chance to speak on things where there is a hint of truth.

I agree it's not coming out great, though the concept was solid. I sure hope they indeed finish this storyline nxt week... though it would be annoying to me if the solution to the villain seeking immortality for all is to die... a "natural" death would be a better "punishment" and victory for our heroes.

So I made lasagna on Sunday. Had some leftovers I wanted to get out of the fridge before tomorrow. And as I usually do on Wednesday, I ate dinner while catching up on the previous night's Arrow/Flash. Yeah...

I did have another thought while watching the show though during the scene when Frost "reverts" (for lack of a better term) back to Katie. I think Panibaker's pregnancy presents a really unique opportunity to explore the meaning of consent and body autonomy. So I guess I'm a little disappointed they're going to heavy jacket it out.

This ... is a pretty terrific thought. It does seem like a real missed opportunity in that light.

The writers never really explored the deal between Caitlyn and Frost. Was there supposed to be a time limit on Frost having complete control, or was Caitlyn essentially giving up her body forever? Would they ever move to a time-share agreement in which they switched control each day/week?

Of the symbols on the wall, the rightmost looked suspiciously like the Arrow logo. I already see some
I had the same thought a day or two after hearing about the pregnancy. I agree with The Realist - a missed opportunity.

Yeah, that was my sense --
that they're stylized representations of the "Paragons" the Monitor mentioned in the Arrow season premiere's opening narration, the exceptional heroes he's collecting to fight the Crisis.

    Anyone got a screencap?

I saw one the other day on a website but I forgot to bookmark the page and now I can't find it/remember where it was located online.

Another thing: have we ever gotten resolution to "This house is bitchin'"? I completely forgot about that line.

Didn't Nora say it when she finally showed up?

Yeah, there are a couple that pretty clearly suggest the Flash and Green Arrow, but the others are unclear.

Really, though, they look kind of like that puzzle where the weird symmetrical shapes are actually just numerals mirrored onto themselves. But visualizing what just half of each of these would look like doesn't clarify anything.

Funny, I thought that one might be Super rather than Bat, if you take the central/upper portion as the S shield and the rest of it as the cape. Although really it looks more like some Jack Kirby headdress.

I loved this entire episode up untill the last minute. Either Barry realized he could become one with Bloodwork and pull a sneaky, or they'll cure him, he goes all "I am so sorry" and the team will pat him on the back for understanding.
Yes, Barry needs to give up a lot to save everyone, but he's been willing to die so many times for the good of others. And before people say what about Nora..... Yes, he's giving up on that too. But what about Iris? Cisco? Caity? Joe? All the other people he loves and that love him who were there in the previous seasons?

Barry came off a real bitch here. The ending wasn’t surprising since it is a 2-parter. I think the majority are too caught up in Crisis to really care about this storyline so it’s good they are tying it up quickly.
