After the long delay for season 3's release, we've gotten the season 4 trailer awfully fast. Also, did we know this was going to be the final season?

Looking forward to it. I wasn't aware that this would be the final season, but I also don't know if had been announced elsewhere. I'd just been looking for return dates.

The announcement that Season 4 would be the final season was just made in the trades yesterday (read it this morning). Articles also stated filming this Spring for a Fall premier. Not sure where they got the footage from, but most of it in the trailer was from Season 3 and earlier...

I'm bummed this is wrapping. Was appointment TV in my household.

I figured this had one, maybe two seasons left. Wonder if we will see our dearly departed former Male lead alive and well on the other side.

I was very puzzled reading this thread, thinking, "yeah, we knew the fourth season would be the final one ages ago" ... only to realize it was a thread bump. :rommie:

11/15, huh? Okay!

Still not understanding the purpose of the portal, is JFK going to sit on his hands and allow Nazi divisions to climb out of a hole in the ground, a few men at a time? I also thought your counterpart in the other reality had to be dead in order to go through without being turned into hamburger yourself.

This show depresses the CRAP out of me, but I keep coming back for more. Apparently, I'm a glutton for punishment. ;)

I'm very interested to see how it all wraps up.

I'm pretty sure we knew long ago that this was going to be the final season. I almost suspect that they filmed seasons 3 and 4 together, but don't really know. Seasons 1 and 2 were very different but Seasons 3 and 4 seem much more closely connected.

While I'll be sad to see it go, I do think it's time. I don't think there's much more they could milk this story for. I've enjoyed it so far. I guess they could milk the resistance. But, I think this is the way to go. What was shocking early in the show is now old hat.

I think the show is going to end on a depressing note

War is going to break out between Japan and Germany at the end and some of the main characters will escape to another Earth

Bumping up to remind everyone that the final season drops tomorrow. I've added a spoiler tag to the thread so feel free to talk about the season openly.

I watched the first half of the season and they're really knocking out of the park (especially the final moments of episode five...). I'm still not sure how they're going to wrap this all up in the remaining five episode, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

The season was good, but they didn't really explore the parallel world very much which disappointed me. The ending didn't wrap up all the lose ends. In fact, I didn't really like the ending. Over all, it was an excellent series, although it doesn't seem like the type of series that you would go back to and rewatch (at least for me).

One minor loose end was that b&w footage of Joe shooting Juliana, in which universe did that happen? It seemed like something important that we were going to revisit, but we never did.

I thought the portal was going to collapse at the end, eliminating the possibility of one universe being able to invade another, but instead it is now permanently open?
