They promised this for Discovery season 2, and I thought they'd either cut something or wimped out. Good to see those TNG season 1 vibes back.

I saw at least one woman in a slant on the Enterprise in Such Sweet Sorrow I or II, but not a man. I can say I think it's flattering, but I think it's a nice revision of Trek history.

I would love to see a captain in a Discovery version of the green wrap-around variant. It might feel a little to comical today.

This is so wrong... it's just right!

I unliked your post just so I could like it again! It deserves to be liked twice.

Given "It's onscreen it's canon" how is Memory Alpha going to deal with the commercial?

That was a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind seeing Captain Lynne Lucero again.

I thought about that too. I decided to blame Edward.

Glorious shot of the Enterprise assuming standard orbit. Just like the old days...

And I deeply love how we're able to look through the windows and see the interiors.

It would make sense, and would've been an easy line drop. It's a research ship looking into feeding populations, so they should have lots of food storage for testing and experiments that the tribbles may have broken into.

Edward must be related to Connolly...

The Captain's first command is an unmitigated disaster because of this Gilligan type who let all hell break loose and tanked the rescue plan.

I hope she gets another ship.

Minute 2:06: in the background there appears to be a doorway leading nowhere. On either side there are windows into space. Plus it's very hard to see any rabbitt teeth windows on the outside of the ship.

I totally understand their need to reuse sets, but I hate when it leads to inconsistency. Especially the doorway, which could have been avoided.

That was hilarious. H. John Bejamin and Rosa Salazar both did a great job, and the stuff with the Tribbles was hilarious. I loved the guy just walking through the mess hall sucking the Tribbles up with vacuum. They way just popped out of each other cracked me up to.
I did not expect it turn out the super fast reproduction to be artificially started, that was a fun little twist.
I hope we see Lucero again, and the fact that's she's played by a relatively big name like Rosa Salazar makes me suspect we might. That or they could only afford her for a 15 minute short, and we'll never see her again.
