Besides killing it with Enterprise: Season 4, Coto's 24 revival miniseries Live Another Day was surprisingly great. And I've heard good things about his abruptly cancelled Odyssey 5. Here's hoping his new show lasts longer than his previous one season runs on things. He's a really underrated showrunner.
NeXt already looked interesting, but hearing that Manny Coto is in charge definitely makes me even more interested. I just remembered some others I forgot. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance - Netflix It's a kind of funny I forgot this one, because it is pretty much my most anticipated show right now. Ghost Rider - Netflix Howard the Duck - Hulu M.O.D.O.K. - Hulu The Dazzler & Tigra Show - Hulu Hit-Monkey - Hulu Y: The Last Man - Hulu EDIT: Remembered even more, all coming from The Jim Henson Company The Witchlands The Storyteller revival Knights of Panterra
Really Excited for: Star Trek: Picard (CBS All Access) Ghost Rider (Hulu) Lord of the Rings thing (Amazon) Howard the Duck (Hulu) [Kevin Smith working on this means it could be pretty great] Falcon & Winter Soldier (Disney+) Untitled(?) Loki show (Disney+) MCU What If (Disney+) Cautiously Optimistic for: The Mandalorian (Disney+) [It looks cool, but Dave Filoni being connected to it is a big negative for me, since he has always been terrible with Mandalorians, which is why this show isn't on the top list] Helstrom (Hulu) WandaVision (Disney+) Star Wars: TCW Final/Extra Season (Disney+) Hawkeye (Disney+) Section 31/Michelle Yeoh focused Star Trek spin off (CBS All Access) M.O.D.O.K. (Hulu)
Oh, man. How did I forget about that? Looking at all these promising genre shows, it just hit me again how spoiled we are. What a great time to be a geek.
Eh, for me TV wise it averages maybe 2-3 good shows a year if I'm lucky (and that's counting returning shows). When it comes to movies then everything is going great, but I could use a few more good TV shows on TV/streaming right now. It feels like Disney/Disney+ is going to be bringing more good genre stuff in the TV/TV style area though, which is great. Without Disney stuff, my "upcoming" list would just be two Star Trek spinoffs and a LoTR spinoff. We're definitely not spoiled when it comes to TV/Streaming stuff. Now, the 90s through early 2000s, that was a time to be into nerdy stuff, at least as a Sci Fi fan (superhero stuff was pretty dire back then, admittedly, but SciFi and Fantasy had its best TV era around then).
Doesn't really belong on this board, as it's not sci-fi, and doesn't belong in this thread, as it's not in development, but I'll be stupid and ask anyway: is anyone else watching Chernobyl right now? Very well done, and very effective.
I am excited for: Any of Star Trek series especially Picard Any GoT spinoffs Will give Watchmen a try Pass on the rest

I used to think that the 90's were the Golden age of sci-fi and fantasy on television. How wrong I was.
I forgot about the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Cowboy Bebop series, I'm definitely curious about those.
Any live action Trek Loki Falcon & Winter Soldier Hawkeye Wandavision Lord of the Rings The Witcher Watchmen The Mandalorian Wheel of Time Dracula
NeXt actually looks a lot like Odyssey 5 with the whole "humans battle against artificial intelligence" premise.
Lord Of The Rings show Cowboy Bebop live action Foundation Chronicles of Amber (though I'm not really hopeful it'll get done at this point) Star Trek spin-off's Mandalorian looks interesting
