That title might be too "literaturally literal" a reference for Star Trek. The Time Tsunami part? I’m not sure how that’s significant.

There was a very short Discovery ad during Super Bowl. Had a picture of Spock with this caption “THE UNTOLD CHAPTER OF SPOCK BEGINS Star Trek Discovery season 2”.
Ok, trekmovie has a video of this:
https://trekmovie.com/2019/02/03/watch-star-trek-discovery-super-bowl-spock-teaser/
Well there are shots in the other trailers of him being wheeled down the corridors of the S31 ship.I was thinking moreSpock saying goodbye to the S31 dude.
Seems to lend credence to the fan theory that they were responsible for him being placed in the facility.
Fun Fact: On IMDb, "New Eden" (S02E02) is currently the best-rated of all released Star Trek: Discovery episodes, while "Point of Light" (S02E03) is currently the worst-rated of all episodes.
well, imdb can't always be rightFun Fact: On IMDb, "New Eden" (S02E02) is currently the best-rated of all released Star Trek: Discovery episodes, while "Point of Light" (S02E03) is currently the worst-rated of all episodes.
Or maybe they might just "happen across" Patrick Stewart at the game and interview him:
Jim Nantz to Tony Romo (Booth Announcers): We have an injury on the field. So let's take a timeout.
You know, Tony, this game attracts all sorts of people, and our sideline reporter Evan Washburn is in the skybox and caught up with one who is really "far out".
Tony: Oooooo...far out!
Evan Washburn (Reporter): Thanks Jim and Tony. Like you said, this game attracts all sorts of people, celebrities among them. I'm here with Patrick Stewart, who many people know better as Captain Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Hello Patrick, are you enjoying the game so far?
Patrick Stewart: Ah -- yes. As a huge fan of the American Football, it's only natural that I come and watch the Super Game that is the Championship of the American Football National Football League. This is game is fantastic. Thomas Brady is really good -- as is that other player who throws the ball for the team from Los Angeles, Gerald...something.
...Oh, and of course there's Gronk; I just love to say "Gronk", because his name sounds like something a Klingon from Star Trek would eat. Gronk! "[imitaing a Klingon] It is dishonorable not to eat your Gronk!" Maybe I'll get the writers of my new Star Trek show to include that.
Evan: I'm glad you just coincidentally happen to bring that up. As you just mentioned, you are working on a new Star Trek TV series for CBS. What can you tell us and the people at home about it?
Patrick: Yes. It's a show that will take place several years after "The Next Generation" and will be on CBS All Access, which as you are aware is the home to another hit Star Trek series called Star Trek: Discovery, plus many other great original shows you can stream, along with past episodes of many of your favorite CBS shows, like NCIS and The Big Bang Theory. CBS All Access. Look for my new show to come out sometime in the near future, only on CBS All Access streaming service.
Evan: Thanks for your time Sir Patrick, and we will be sure to look for your new Star Trek series on CBS All Access, joining the great line up of other quality programming already there. I'll let you go so you can...umm..."engage" with the game [chuckles].
Patrick: Ha ha yes, "engage". And I will "make it so!" [both laugh]
Jim Nantz: Ha ha! And we're back. Thanks Patrick. We'll be sure to look for your show on CBS All Access, the streaming service from CBS. The injured player is being carted off the field with what looks like a serious knee injury....
Well, no "organic" shameless plug for his new show. I'm disappointed.I hope the Colbert writers gave you a little taste! Add "Gritty" in there, and you have a pretty good approximation of the Late Show's cold open on Sunday...
Well, no "organic" shameless plug for his new show. I'm disappointed.
Also, I'm a Penguins fan, so obviously I despise everything about Gritty. As we Pens fans say "Fuck the Flyers!"
POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR FUTURE EPISODES:
This is pure speculation, but I predict that episode 6, The Sounds of Thunder, will be the Saru goes home episode. According to IMDB, episode 6 is written by Bo Yeon Kim (and probably Erika Lippoldt though IMDB doesn't list her yet) and directed by Douglas Aarniokoski. It's the same writers and director who wrote and directed The Brightest Star. Also, the timing of when Berg and Harberts were fired and production took a break between episodes 5 and 6 lines up. Short Treks were announced approximately a month later.
Also, based on episode 5's title, Saints of Imperfection, and photo that IMDB has for the episode (Georgiou on the Discovery), episode 5 will be a heavy Section 31 episode.
If all of this is true, then everything we've seen from the trailers (other than possibly the introduction of Spock) will have happened by the sixth episode.
This is kinda exciting, because it means that not a clue regarding the back half of the season has leaked out.
According to TrekCore, the first publicity shot they were given of Spock by CBS was labelled ‘207’. So that might be why.IMDB has a picture of Spock on its Episode 7 page so I assume he's in that episode.
This is kinda nice.
Folk haven't been this hepped-up about incoming Trek episodes around here in a very long time.
Feels great.
