On Sept. 3 the oldest living TOS actor turns 96...

That would be Harry Landers -- Dr Coleman "Turnabout..". Neat trivia: he had a lung removed just before filming the episode.

96 year old dude walking around with one lung for the last 48 years! Darth Vader might say, "Impressive, most impressive and without batteries." **

**Landers has unfortunately passed away now.

The other members of the club...…

    1. Robert Herron 95 -- played "Sam" and "Kahless" in "Charlie" and "Savage.." Trivia: oldest actor to play a Klingon. Trying to live a Klingon length lifespan?

    2. John Copage 94 -- played "Elliot" in "Doomsday" Trivia: He played a background extra on TNG and Voyager into his 70s

    3. Marc Grady Adams 93 -- played "Hamlet" in "Conscience" Trivia: Last surviving male actor from the "Karidian" troupe

    4. Harry Basch 93 -- played Dr. Brown in "What Are.." Trivia: Oldest living TOS android actor. LOL

    5. David Frankham 93 -- played Larry Marvick in "Is There.." Trivia: Oldest TOS actor to have appeared in "Outer Limits"

    6. Robert Brown 92 -- played Lazarus in "Alternative.." Trivia: Starred in Here Come the Brides with Mark Lenard

    7. William Smithers 92 -- played Merrick in "Bread.." Trivia: oldest living TOS actor to have appeared on "The Invaders"

    8. John Winston 91 -- "Kyle" oldest (semi-) regular

    9. Joanne Linville 91 -- "Romulan Commander" First female member of this exclusive club in years

    10. Tom Troupe 90 -- "Cestus survivor" Joined the club on July 15, 2018

    11. Rex Holman 90 -- "Morgan Earp" -- Last of the Earps

    12. Michael Forest 90 -- lifespan of a god!

    13. Patrick Horgan 90 -- Current oldest living leader of a planet and newest member of the club.

There are two mystery actors who may or may not be alive....
Tom Curtis played "Mike" and Bart Conrad played Captain Krasnowsky -- both in "Court-Martial"
If they are alive they would both be over 100 judging by their age in 1966. But they had brief acting careers and have dropped off the map.

Hit me with any additions or corrections....

No, he's 86. There are about two dozen or more TOS actors between 85-89. They will have to earn their spot in this elite group of elders! LOL

Yeah, there are still about 180 of the 400 TOS actors still alive. Granted a lot of those were younger (or even child) actors -- but there are still quite a few. Pretty amazing for a show that went off the air 48 years ago.

Having read so many threads in this forum about such and such an actor having died, this thread is a refreshing change. Thanks for this!

Yes, last time I searched he was still living on a cattle ranch in Texas, IIRC.

Presumably you're talking about all the credited cast members. When you take into consideration your uncredited cast like Bobby Clark, or Eddie Paskey, I'm guessing the number rises from 180. Although, of course, the 400 increases too.

I am talking about actors with speaking roles -- which both Paskey and Clark had. The 400 are all the speaking roles. Quite a few or the extras or stunt persons had lines at some point -- so they are are included as well.. The only one of the 400 without "lines" was Kathryn Hays as "Gem" -- who was obviously a featured performer.

Also Paskey was credited a couple of times.

Oh, and I did quite a bit of research finding the names of actors who were NOT credited. I've identified all 400 actors except for one.

The one I haven't identified is.....
the Ioatian who says, "Sure is." in reply to the other guy who says "Cute kid." in "Piece.."

    The other 399 are identified.

I always thought that Sid Haig was one of the Morgs along with Pete Kellett?

Never heard that. Haig may have played a "morg", but he wasn't the guy with the line and who fought Kirk & co.

Edit: Memory Alpha has recently added stunt man/actor Fred Carson as playing the 2nd morg guard. That wasn't indicated a couple of months ago. Fred Carson also played a Denevan who attacked the landing party in "Operation:.."

looks like it could be him.

This dude who guarded the door at Krako's HQ is the only other TOS actor I don't know the name of.
I've see him in other 1960s dramas -- including, fittingly, the "Untouchables" as a hood -- but he never gets a credit and usually doesn't have lines.

Sad to report that Harry Landers who had been the oldest living TOS actor has passed away aged 96 -- all the way back in October of 2017 and it just now (Jan 4, 2018) got announced.

Also sad to announce that Alan Bergmann (Lal in "The Empath") passed away on August 31st 2017 -- 47 days short of his 90th birthday. So the group of 13, 90+ is now 12.

UPDATE: It is 13 again as Joanne Linville turned 90 on January 15, 2018

Sad to report that way back on Nov 4, 2017, actor Ned Romero died at age 90. A lot of times these retired actors don't get a timely announcement of their death and it slips by with no mention from any of the Trek websites. Romero played "Krell" (name is from the script) in "Private Little War"

He had bigger parts in TNG and Voyager episodes. But he will always be best remembered as Chief Joseph in the fantastic "I Will Fight No More Forever"
Try to find that if you never saw it.

Well yes, you can't really see Haig's face beneath the hood in Archons but I'm pretty sure he's in Brain, but then again not if the Trek pages say no!
