Working TOS Dialogue Into Everyday Situations

From the other thread . . . which has some great ones.

Every chance I get I try to pull off Kirk's cool-as-cucumber "Cut that thing off" (from the Wolf in the Fold bridge scene) in everyday conversation. With dismissive hand gesture.

My dad and I have been doing the "Sir, your unfamiliarity with the redesign jeopardizes this mission" bit for nearly 40 years. Rental car . . . new car . . . new phone . . . you name it. :D

Others? Or lines you'd love to work into daily conversation?

Not quite the same, BUT.......
I swear in John M. Ford's Klingonaase. It's ideal for cursing because no one has a clue what you are saying, its not really a profanity in English so no one can be offended, and it has a satisfying glutteral tone!!
For example:-
Khest (dead/worthless)
G'daya (damn)
Tokhkest Straav (willing slave)
G'daya V'kasse (damn my hand)
Khesterex Tha (wasted effort)

Works for me!

For me, it used to be when I had a flip phone and couldn't help doing Shatner's characteristic, swaggering way of flipping open his communicator whenever I got a call :D

Also, the line from Tribbles whenever I and my friends are dining out. "This is my chicken sandwich, and coffee." Maybe you've got to be there. ;)

Not much from the episodes, but I have been known, on occasion, to drop lines from the movies.

Specifically, "You must have faith that the universe will unfold as it should", and "A double dumbass on you!"

I suppose "Brain and brain, what is brain?!?" has come out now and again....

Often when a discussion of responsibility comes up, I'll say, "Who's responsible for all of this? Who is Khan?"

I worked in "Where's the override, the override??" the other day when something wasn't working right.
