Cant wait till this Saurian guy is just another glorified background extra, and everyone will go apeshit and say the show sucks for not developing him more or for doing stand alone episodes about him.

I'm embarrassed to say I never knew that race from TMP were called Saurians. I'm glad to finally see more of them!
Another TMP race I want see is of the person who told Uhura toward the beginning of the film, after Kirk boards the Enterprise, that Decker has been with the ship every minute of the refit.

Well, it was sad that they didn’t do anything with Detmer, considering that they specifically had her to be injured at the Binary Stars and then meet Burnham on Discovery. I don't know, I think the whole point of her character was thst initial look she gave Burnham in "Context is For Kings". That look that said you're the reason my face is fucked up. Once you get past that, she's a blank slate.
Airiam's existence being somewhat incompatible with Data immediately makes her more interesting. I'm sure they'll give us more info on her in S2.
If you search the RecDeck scene there is one on the gantry and one in the crowd. Otherwise the only clear images are among the promo shots.
Saurians are supposed to be robust and capable of breathing in different gases without choking so they are effective engineers in emergencies since they can continue to function without stopping to get masks.
One thing they are going to have to do is establish early on this alien isn't a Gorn. I see many people getting confused. I also expect many See;Shek(Don't know the spelling) jokes from the aliens on "Land of the Lost" and also the bounty hunter guy from "Star Wars" who doesn't even where shoes when Darth Vadar is talking to him and his fellow bounty hunters.
