Would they?Theory.
Win is a stand in for a posthistorically certain death of Brainiac 5.
Dose him with enough nanites to fool the casual sensor, that any rampaging AI looking to exterminate all other AI, would cross Brainiac 5 off their shopping list, after they had decapitated Winn.
At least we had a Superman update in this one. He was in Madagascar for some reason.
They mentioned Madagascar as the site for tornadoes, a superstorm and a tsunami in the previous ep (Let it Reign). Correct me if I'm wrong, but that sounds like a "job for Superman!" After hearing how someone in the 31st cent terraformed some place called Zune by creating a genesis event at the planet's core, Alex also seemed to suggest if you / Reign went thru the Earth's core you'd end up in/near Madagascar which I assume was why things were so bad there.
(not quite true on "my" map, but it sounds good. https://www.antipodesmap.com/ don't forget to plug in Madagascar ! )
Superman wasn't the only one mentioned this week, so was Clark. I liked how James admonished Wynn to keep quiet about the secret handshake, almost as if he expects Clark to show up in the 31st cent. I wish Mon-El had reassured Wynn that he would not be losing J'onn by going to the future.
I wonder if Miss Tessmacher will be the one to spill the beans to Kara and/or SG about Lena's secret Kryptonian projects. She was so proud to be working with Lena and Supergirl a few weeks ago, she could be the conduit for said information next year.
I also wonder if we will see Sam in the future or will she give up L-corp and move away.
I don't think the DEO is a done deal, or why would we need Brainiac to hang around.
Then we could all argue why Supergirl doesn't come help him out.Stuff like this is why I would love a Superman series too set in this universe.
I agree that Mon-El was one of the best parts of the season. He's always been one of my favorite Legionnaires, and I think he was done justice both in the writing of the character and the acting.I know I've said it before, but I'm just not sure I've said it here. When Mon-El was introduced I wasn't all that impressed with the character. But this season, he's been a real standout. The student who surpasses the teacher.
Wouldn't the second Kara clone or whatever she is at the end be the result of this shows "Flashpoint" because of the time travel?
Then we could all argue why Supergirl doesn't come help him out.
This show's about Supergirl, not Superman; having him be in it would take away her thunder and agency, and be rightfully seen as letting a male character usurp a female one (Mon-El, Guardian and Martian Manhunter being in the final battle is just their being allies of Supergirl and little else.)
I doubt they'd be so imitative of a sister show's plotlines.
Maybe we should look at Supergirl as a hero, not just a "female hero."
